I click install then when it finishes installing, it just goes back to telling me that I have to install it.

Also having this issue when using the Itch app on linux to install a game. I click install, it downloads, "installing...", "started now", "install"

Sorry for the trouble. Could you tell us which games you're having trouble with, and what version of the app you're using?

I solved this issue (as it was my own game), the problem being the zip file contained a file with filename that was invalid on windows.  "???.map" removing that zip file (and the rest of the butler channel fixed the problem for me)
