my esc button has broken and i havent figured out a way to replace it yet, in the mean time, can you guys tell me if theres an alternative way to exit the game without use of the esc button?

thanks for all the suggestions guys, turns out, F4, F5 and the irrelevant F6 also dont work on my keyboard. ive tried to change the keybind in the settings but thats apparently the only keybind that cant be changed (dont know why, its weird), alt + tab seems to be a viable way but is there any other way to save? maybe sleeping tbh idk

Press F5 to save, then die to something to get sent back to the menu. Alternatively, you can use Alt+F4 if you want to close the game entirely.

windows key, then right click the games taskbar icon and close it

The lore-friendly way to exit the game is to play for a certain amount of hours until a game-crashing entity appears and closes the game for you... Or you could alt + tab, right click on VotV in the taskbar, and click "Close window".
