In Abiotic Factor, you play as a scientist trapped in GATE Cascade Research Facility, dealing with interdimensional breaches.
What the game tells you in pieced together lore is where all the original early experiments breached extra-dimensional energy went. It shot straight into the upper atmosphere. The GATE Foundation, desperate to track the cosmic fallout of their failed first experiments without going public, built a remote, automated listening post in the Swiss Alps.
They sent Dr. Kel as a test subject telling him to start processing signals, what hes actually doing is mapping wandering cosmic radiation (breaches) from GATEs facility's first resonance cascade. and acting as a lure for anything coming through.
here's dr.nose interview with the creators of Abiotic Factor where he explains it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
You're asking for the game to be simplified for you
The peak of mountains shouldn't be lowered and smoothed into hills to make them more accessible. some people are looking for those heights in a otherwise flat landscape of boring, soulless media that caters to the lowest common denominator in order to be more "accessible".
All the new additions are great features, but some are currently very unbalanced. in fact most issues currently are time economy Vs resource economy
The ATV:
Is excellent but the battery drains to quickly and needs a battery charger for the base to establish a routine of maintenance as opposed to a credit drain on top of fuel. As it stands I will just run to save credits.
400-600 credit car battery charger
The Triangulation Towers:
The fuses are to expensive, with no download upgrades only one signal a day is not strange, with a broken tower and needing to walk because of a dead atv battery, the time cost is massive and there are no credits to fix the issue due to not having signals downloading. But when you do get things moving 100 credits is never a reasonable amount for the one-use fuses, 800 credits for max health should be 200 credits.
25 credits a fuse.
the old controls are just etched into my brain, sanding them off to learn the new ones is painful, taking the base data out of the case has me picking the whole thing up over and over.
but for bagging garbage piles, i can just hit R and their picked up and i don't have to scroll the action menu every time.
Im looking forward to control customization and i think this is a move in the right direction.
