thanks for all the suggestions guys, turns out, F4, F5 and the irrelevant F6 also dont work on my keyboard. ive tried to change the keybind in the settings but thats apparently the only keybind that cant be changed (dont know why, its weird), alt + tab seems to be a viable way but is there any other way to save? maybe sleeping tbh idk 

my esc button has broken and i havent figured out a way to replace it yet, in the mean time, can you guys tell me if theres an alternative way to exit the game without use of the esc button?

yes im pretty sure that no events are actively happening

nvm changing the keybind did nothing, its fucking impossible for me to quit without having to kill my character first
edit: found out its not just in Voices of the void, but in all other games, i think my esc button just broke tbh

the first few days the esc button worked just fine, however as the days have passed it takes more and more presses before it actually works. making the keybind different has helped a lot, although it didnt actually change the keybind to something other than esc

hm, yah you're right, i should probably conider cleaning this laptop of mine, its been going for like 4 years and needs some care, thanks

it has been roughly 2 months since this, so at least it survived

i deleted it through my settings so im not exactly hopeful that it'll come back but who knows, we'll see, thanks though, you're really smart

i figured it out actually, it was because i didnt have enough space available, which means that while downloading a file got compromised. this file was essential and it being compromised lead to the crash. i got it working now though, accidentally deleted my entire downloads folder in the process but there was nothing important there anyway

How do i fix this? i just downloaded and extracted the file :(
