The lore-friendly way to exit the game is to play for a certain amount of hours until a game-crashing entity appears and closes the game for you... Or you could alt + tab, right click on VotV in the taskbar, and click "Close window".

Hi Kaiet, the game runs so well for you because you have either the resolution or the "Screen resolution" slider set too low. Long story short, VotV's way of rendering text is ineffective, leading to all sorts of issues like pixelation and the letters being affected by TAA ghosting. Unfortunately, you can't do anything about it other than bumping the resolution slider (Settings -> Render -> Screen resolution) to 70% - 100%.

It sounds like one of those issues addressed in the FAQ, try to access the settings, navigate to "Game", and click "Regenerate data.sav".
