I don't know if anybody's mentioned it but I've tried using the tv and it worked fine at first, had a 480p single video saved in the file it was supposed to, the tv turned that video on
all was well... then a minute or two later it crashed the game, found a forum on reddit as well of people having the same issue
so I thought I'd mention that just in case

I cannot use the computer, it is turned on, but nothing is working. I have tried to re enter the save multiple times. It has happened before but i don't know why it is stuck neither how to unstuck

Most likely your transformer has turned off. You need to turn it on, and then turn on the switches in the basement.

It is not a power thing. The computer is turned on, but i cannot interact with the shop, modules or any other feature of it, neither read the daily tasks.

It's hard to help with a problem when the input data is "can't interact" only

Well, i didn't know how to describe neither reproduce, but i noticed that if i re open the game, there is a chance that it will be working, but once i get this problem again i will record

Alt tabbing the game can be glitchy sometimes, at least in my experience.

Spotted a mysterious motionless dark orb in the sky way off the north edge of the map. Thought I'd discovered some new entity or event; hopped the fence to go take a closer look.

Turns out if one of the stroggified pigs explodes violently enough, its goo can reach the invisible boundary wall and stick there. With no way to climb up to it or gravity gun it down, it's just kind of glued to the sky forever.

Not really an actual bug, just the physics engine being the physics engine, probably got blasted up there by an Ariral firing at a nearby boar. You can climb up there with a hook and bring it down if you don't want it.

Also, unrelated to the rest of this, but how did you get those clearer item icons?

(+1)

@Bearsjunior the icons are actually just 64x64 jpegs renamed to ".vimg" stored in the folder " C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VotV\Assets\icons ". I got tired of squinting at the little indistinct grayish blobs the game renders for most items so basically I just screenshotted a bunch of the more commonly used tools in front of a chromakey curtain and made new icons in gimp. Gimme a sec, i'll throw em up on google drive if itch lets us post links to that:

i cant do custom posters, in settings all what need i enable, get PNG photo to the assers/poster, but when i use or try to do it, there are nothing, (i cant choose png fail cause nothing at the black screen) не могу делать кастомки (постеры), в настройках все что надо врубил, в игру перезаходил, пнг файл в нужну. папку кинул, на выборе фотки для постера буквально ничего, это  у всех так? просто посередине черно серый прямоугольник

Make sure you push the "refresh assets" button in the settings after adding anything to the folders.

The "7 hours" achievement isn't working in the latest version, refusing to stick around even after completing the tutorial in its entirety

Try applying settings after getting it. It may seem like a weird suggestion, but doing so saves your stats and achievements without needing to directly save the game (which you can't do in the tutorial)

Kerfus-O arms and legs only crafted one of each for me.

then the game autosaved and I think im soft locked out of getting a Kerfer!

i found an area where i can no-clip under the base. its to the left of the front door and mailbox. its a little dark triangle to the right of the window. i can walk around underneath the entire base.

(+1)

It's intentional, sometimes things can fall under the base so this is a way to get stuff from under the base plus it's got a useless secret note somewhere i think.

oh, well..

PLEASE HELP! Found a bug. I got the event that caused my Kerfur Omega to appear in a fleshly area on the camera. When it ended, I kept experiencing something weird, randomly I would hear something moving in my base (like an entity colliding with the surrounding? or rummaging) and I swear I saw for a brief moment a red laser outside the window? Followed by a loud sound of me getting hit and falling over... I am SO confused. This especially happens when I click to pat Kerfur, so I decided to turn Kerfur Omega off, then it just vanishes... poof! gone! No where on the radar and I can't view the camera :(

I'm not sure if this was intended or not. but, i got a thought saying i didn't feel well, and right after i got an alert saying don't look inside the locker. (which i obv did) my screen went black for a second or two and my game crashed.

(+1)

You were warned not to look in the locker. You got the consequences of your curiosity.

How you feel doesn't matter here. Only your curiosity.

I downloaded VotV just yesterday. I chose to play in 'environment' mode because I was looking for a relaxing experience. I’ve just decided to quit the game because the transformers break at least twice a day: absolutely nerve-wracking. I can’t make any progress.

(+1)

Not really a bug; the transformers aren’t disabled or made easier in Ambience mode, and you still have to manage them just as much as you would normally.

If they are going down twice in an in-game day, it might be because of your power consumption; power some functions off using the breaker in the basement or the Components tab in the computer when not needed.

The following list is what each component controls, alongside it’s power consumption percentage.

  • Calculations - Signal processing panel, Satellite consoles, and Servers - 33.33%
  • Downloading - Signal downloading panel - 26.67%
  • Coordinates - Coordinates panel (Signal catching) - 20.00%
  • Playing - Playback panel - 13.33%
  • Utilities - Main computer, Doors & Door locks, Electric lights (both static overhead lights and purchased lights), and Outlets - 6.67%

Thanks for the reply =)
I hadn't thought about that...
Thanks also for the fuel consumption, so I'll know how to adjust!

The key card to the bunker fell into the rocks...

Start a new game, get the keycard, put it in the mailbox and get it from the mailbox on your main save.

👍

I don't know if anybody mentioned this but at times my items seem to fall over or end up in places despite them being placed in a specific place (like paper cups on a table)

but also the light stick thingies are very janky in the sense that they either freak out after reloading the game or try to fly towards a spot of where I was trying to place an item, sometimes they do it after I used the same shift alt placement with the lights or otherwise

also also (I don't know if this is technically a bug or just hitbox misalignment but but will mention either way) some items like the metal shelf model have this issue of things clipping through them like a clock, so you can see the bottom of the clock clipping through

also there seems to be an issue with accepting placement of items sometimes through the ceiling rather than realigning said props to face down? so that way they won't clip through the ceiling and get stuck in a spot where nobody can get to it (salt lamp for example)

also for the last one... I just hope there will be a way to fix items clipping through the map and splashing into its underground

I think that's all the biggest ones I've seen?

except the crashing done because of custom video playing on tv but that's probably been talked about to death

The game does have some physics issues.

i can't download the game , when i hit download button it downloads for a little bit and then says that the file was not available in the website

try download YeetPatch https://votv.dev/patcher_assets/download/YeetPatch-latest.zip

not sure if this is considered a bug or not. but the pbr and normal map textures seem to be read in srgb color space instead of linear.
this isnt correct as pbr and normal map textures are not color data but instead channel packed data.
you dont colorspace normal directions because doing so will result in the wrong values (you can see this in game if you give a sphere model a normal map that is a solid 0.5,0.5,1.0 color and rotating it around)
the normal map is a direction vector from the models surface
0.5,0.5,1.0 is pointing straight out from the surface
if you srgb colorspace that then you get 0.73,0.73,1.0
giving the wrong normal direction

id recommend a setting in the mesh properties.cfg to read the normal map and pbr as data instead of color
that way already made models wont suffer from this if it is changed
if this is working as intended though uhhhh
guess i have a feature request

It's not exactly a bug, but after the 13 day, my FPS dropped significantly, not just when loading a save, but throughout the entire game. I lowered the settings, cleaned the base, but nothing helped. Before, I had a stable 50/60 FPS, but after that, it wouldn't even go above 20. EDITED: The game is only using 5% of my gpu resources. How can I manually increase the limit?

not sure if anyone mentioned this, but i heard the rock floating was virtually broken  in this version. tried every guide i could find, and every method i could to try and get the water rune, ended up having to give it to myself from another save (because peace and love im not walking thru the entire area with a rock.)

another one while im at it, the frame rate is TANKING. i used to have my base decorated in so many items it was honestly atrocious, and i'd average around 60fps save for small drops with events. now, even with no fancy textured objects, and no 3d printed objects or custom ones for that matter, im averaging around 20-30 fps in the base around all my stuff.
