Does anyone actually not let Asterion have white fur?

Except for when I went for the Ruthless endings I always let Asterion have white fur since he explicitly tells you it's his preference (if you ask), and I never changed it (except when gold fur became an option in one playthrough because Asterion changed it himself). So I was wondering if anyone doesn't stick with white fur on a typical playthrough, and if not for what reason.

How do you get the gold fur ?

You need to find an item called "rusty cross" from the valley exploration activity.

I mostly got that rusty cross in the law and ethics route, other ones have different tokens.

it helps to tell apart different runs you are doing if you assign different colors

I always let him have white fur since he mentions it's his preference and it was his natural color as well.
He looks good with it, and seems to be happy that way :D

I'd give him anything he wants. If I can just snap my fingers and create things, I'd use that power to get him anything he could want.

let's spend billions of dollars and the greatest minds of a generation building him a holodeck so he can visit the french vineyards. let's round up copies of every book ever written and amass them all in a library just for him. I can just shit out gems whenever I want, right? Sky's the limit when you're wealthy.

I Aprove it!

White fur... allways white fur (Its hard to say no to such a simple request!). Mmmm but yep, i changed to the golden too and only back in the Ruthless way. Brown is default at the begining.. i'm sure i didn't ever let him brown

White fur every time <3

After him saying it was his natural colour, it is thus the only correct option. I did have spotted for a little while cause I absolutely love spotted cows cause they're what I grew up with.

Also I like Greek myths. What's so funny is like 95% of minotaur depictions, even the ones based solely off the myth, always have brown or black fur despite the fact that the myth specifically says that the father bull was indeed white.
It's like the opposite of the biblically accurate angel meme. Yes some angels looks like that, but not all.  Asterion having white fur is myth accurate and I will never not be a tiny bit amused by that.

well i actually asked him and after knowing he had white fur when he was alive i have been using white since then, after a while i tried changing his fur color but suddenly it made me feel like it didn't suit him, maybe my brain has associated Astison's image with white fur

I usually put him in white fur on most of my runs because of what he says, but honestly, I think he looks amazing in brown fur. So I make him wear it because it was the color he had the day we first met, and that feels very special to me. Also, since his last master caused him so much trauma with that color, I don't want him to associate the brown color with those bad memories. I want him to have positive experiences with it now, so he can move on. (But honestly, I just love how he looks in brown fur, so that’s what I tell myself to feel better about changing it up, lol)
