Hi, unfortunately I can't really help you much with either :( . That being said, here are a few projects by others I recommend in general:

Jump Jett (Kind of an arcade-style platformer, but in a very 8-bit sense)

Frog 'n' Roll (Kind of an arcade style game, in my opinion)

Memory Meadow (Visual novel)

Path of Exile is similar to Diablo

It's still in the demo phase, but my game Battle Tower Royale is an ARPG that draws inspiration from games like Diablo. It's has about two hours of gameplay currently, and I'm almost ready to start adding lots more levels to the game.
