Instruction Manual for my Game.

Hi.  I recent posted an rpg I made to itch.  I uploaded the demo build of a browser game (While still debating 'how' I want to release the final build).  Someone gave me feedback that I should upload a manual to go with the game, but I am unsure what would be a suitable format.  I was hoping I could post an html page of it similar to how the game is handled, but the only thing that would show up is a download link (which I don't think I would want for what I am trying to make).

Is there a better method I could try out?

Sadly most people don't have a clue what to do with file formats other than PDF, so stick to that.

Well, first time for anything.  Thanks for the feedback!

Instead of a manual, you could make an instructional video - show the players instead of telling them.

Or include an interactive tutorial inside the game - like an optional tutorial level with explanations.

Interesting, but I am unsure if it is practical for what I want it to accomplish. The game demo I uploaded is part of a game challenge to build a role-playing game within the confines of 128kb.  This has been completed, but I had to trim what was included in the game, such as an absence of details regarding inventory, how-to-play instructions within the game, etc.  Having a manual allows me to include what I want without sacrificing the filesize restrictions.

I found a converter that lets me convert a webpage to a pdf file.  I had to rework the page so it did not require any javascript to display what I wanted it to, but I now have a game manual.

Thanks again for the feedback.  It is certainly appreciated!  \o/
