I've been able to do it before and slightly rely on it for formatting, but I've not been able to do it. I'm positive there used to be an Image icon to add them that is now missing.
Could you check again? We had an update go out that caused a few components to not render. We’ve pushed out a fix so things should be operating as expected. Please reply to me if you still aren’t seeing it.
I've checked again- on Mobile and PC and on different accounts. There isn't the Add Image button for the content. There doesn't seem to be an image button in this comment *BUT* ctrl+V works here fortunately so I can show.
Windows: Image has to come from a file, open the file on Photos app, Copy the image from the photo app and you can rightclick + paste. But its hard not being able to do this from mobile.
Pasting the image into the field will embed the image data directly into the text content of the post, you will hit the length limit very easily, so I don’t recommend doing that.
Can you share what browser you are on?
Edit: We’ve discovered the issue, it should be resolved now.
