I sent this via email to support@ last week but got no response so maybe I got spam filtered :P

I changed the username of my account to be that of the game company I am trying to get started and I wanted to create a new account using my old username.

The problem is it says the username is still taken so I cant create a new account OR change the username of this account back to what it was.

Can that username be free'd up? Maybe the 1 or 2 posts on the forum messed something up or prevented something from happening?

Nope, by design the old username is kept as a redirect to the new one. It can be freed manually I imagine, once an admin gets to it, but sometimes it takes a while. Hang on!
