Embed itch widget on Github

Hi there! My name is Sebastian, i'm working on a game called Under Control, it's open source, made with Unity, Wwise and using InControl;i already post it on Itch.io, but the reason i'm posting here is because i can't find the way to use the Itch widget on my Github Readme or in the release section.

https://github.com/sebaenam/undercontrol

Is there any way to do it? I was really looking for a way to do this but i can't reach it.

Regards!

GitHub README files are Markdown... which means they can contain raw HTML. It's possible they filter out some stuff, such as iframes, but you can certainly try pasting in the embed code.

They indeed filter iframes, y try posting embed itch widget but not work. How should i do to make it work with iframe code?

Thanks!

We only support a subset of HTML. We don't support markdown directly. You can access the HTML editor on the description by clicking the </> button. We'd like to add direct support for markdown in the future but I don't know when I'll start working on that. Thanks

Sorry, i think you don't understand my question, i want to add the Itch widget on github readme, not use markdown on itch.io.
Thanks!

Oops, my mistake. Not sure you can do that. We currently only provide a iframe based widget and I'm pretty sure GitHub doesnt' allow that. But, I think it would be cool to make a SVG based embed that you can put anywhere that supports images. I'll make a note about creating something. If you end up making something, tell me, I'd be glad to check it out.

Thanks

Great! I'm starting my vacations today, coming back in one month. If i found something then, i will post it.

Regards!

Have you tried using Github Pages? AFAIK they're pure html so they can contain iframes and whatnot. Then from github readme just point users to github.io page for your game.
