How far back is upload history kept?

As a follow up to this thread: how far back are players able to download old versions of a game? Are old versions available indefinitely, or are there limits in terms of version age and-or the amount of data uploaded to a channel?

I believe as long as each version stays below the maximum size limit, there shouldn’t be a problem, and a good number of older versions should be available to the users.

I haven’t tried it myself, but butler uses a smart algorithm when uploading new versions, and it creates a “patch” so that instead of uploading the whole project from scratch, it only uploads what’s new. This makes handling multiple versions easier, and with less costs.

For the most part, I don’t think you need to worry about this, unless you want to preserve a huge amount of older versions.

Alright, sounds good. Thanks again!

For channels created with butler, old versions are currently kept around indefinitely so that any user who has previously downloaded an older version of the game has an upgrade path to the most recent version of the game.
