No, not at all. I just figured out you did not penalize wrong inputs, and mashed all buttons :D

Thanks for the comment. I unfortunately did not have enough time to put a guide in the game. But the controls are in the game description.

You have 5 treasure maps, I thought those were enough clue to find the treasure. You can use the measuring tool to measure distances. Again, did not have time to flesh it out more. Would be useful to have angles and distances shown, probably.

ooh, I was not sure if people would like having to go back for tools. Thought maybe it would be too tedious. Glad you liked it.

So far, I was just "testing" the other games, playing just enough to judge. I think I played this one more than an hour. Which says something. Very fun concept. 10/10

I love this. Even though its unfinished, I can tell this is just my cup of tea.

I hope you manage to work on it after the jam. I would love to try it out.

(1 edit)

Good use of the theme.

Camera tracking could be better. Sometimes I had to walk to the edge of the map for the camera to move, but then I cant see the enemies in the next room.

You can lock yourself in the tutorial rooms. Maybe the room where you have to shatter your weapon should unlock the next door when you shatter any weapon there. Shattering your weapon next to an enemy can knock them out of the room. Which leaves you no way of leaving the tutorial.

I can't resist a leaderboard. Got the high score in all of them (for now)

I don't know it its the arrows going up compared to down in most rhythm games or something else, but it was quite difficult.

So far, I reached up to round 50, but I can keep going forever. Just executing surge cascade over and over.

Thank you! To be honest, both a guide and sounds were things I was planning to add. I just didn't have time. Maybe I will update it after the jam. I am glad you found it fun!

Damn, good feedback, much appreciated.
You could adjust the sounds in options, we set them to somewhere around middle for most.
I couldn't for the love of God figure out how to set up ysort. It all looks like it should work, and I tried a dozen different settings, but it never worked.
You missed the minigame for eggs, I guess I should've made it more clear in the quests. Hope not many missed that part :D

Thanks again for the feedback.

A really clever idea, very original as far as I can tell.
I wish the implementation was half as good though.

The existence of random killboxes (areas where you just.. die) were annoying.
I could not collect all the medallions, but I might come back to this game to do that.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

oi! our boi has a mouth now! he can finally answer people properly
and lol, the chickens and baby chicks are basically just a circle with a tail

I mean, if you are scared, imagine how they feel

Cute little game.

Cute little sad game... :(

oh, no need to be sorry. I'm glad you were able to update it!

Amazing visuals!
Could be nice to have more levels, but, well, its a jam game.

poor boy

I keep making weird faces to remember what the order was
(I still cant remember though)

lol, I killed the dragon as Osric, not realizing what the game was about.
Then I read the comments and went back to play it. Great implementation of the wildcard, good writing, fun game

Thanks for the review

I think that shrimp thing is the crazy old man?
And yes, Undertale was the inspiration behind the minigames. I wanted to add more, but we didnt have time.

Slap a leaderboard to a simple game, and watch me lose an hour trying to be the best

The game is stuck on the main menu for me. Is this a known issue?

I am using Opera browser

Good concept,

I think it could be a fun game if you finish it after the jam.

you should be able to change the volume in setting
we used a free-to-use song from Spencer Y.K. https://spencer-yk.itch.io

This is my favourite game in the jam so far.
very fun to play, great atmosphere
