I wonder who will go through the whole installation process to access.. I don’t usually thrust external links 🤔 (I didn’t know Resonite) Sorry I am too lazy for a “VR Chat copy” with Resonite (which might sound a good a idea at first), but not the place for a VR jam. The web browser preview is unplayable (can’t read, nor move) Please upload a video to tease a bit maybe.

Multiplayer game hum? Not sure it is the best choice for a game jam as testers will be mostly alone playing.

And actually… it is not playable at all (<10FPS on a correct PC!), and doesn’t work in VR (should it be?) Waiting for instructions to try again…

That’s Splinter Cell with robots, nice! BUT, how slow it is, way too much slow movements, making both robots and player 3x faster would add more to the concept. Also the safe box makes the 3 robots disappear, however it seems they stay in place at the next alert. I’d prefer see them go back to a close spawn point (like if they have to go back to sleep mode) but quickly turn back if player is spotted again. Good idea with the panel and robots batteries, but the slow pace kills the prototype for me. Good work nevertheless ;)

It is strange your FPS was that low, it is running better than I expected with the build than in the editor.

Totally agree, I tried to add a grab toggle for the swords but it didn’t work as expected especially when trying to to steal another one. Actually I wanted to add an holster so the sword goes back directly if you release the grab preventing from loosing the sword somewhere. I had in mind to add skeleton archers you could steal the bow, no time. I thought about different was to manage the state machine for enemy feedback, this one was ok but the rate is not so good unfortunately.

Hello there, quick comments as I was too short in time. Being solo, I didn’t want to care about “art”, so I used assets for that matter that you will find in the credits on the game’s page if you are curious. My goal on this jam was to find a way to make a Hack’n’Slash VR game which uses player’s rapid arm movements (as fast as a Beat Saber pro ;) ) to defeat the enemies in 3 waves + spoiler. I planned to be able to cut the skeletons in pieces but I ran out of time, so only the gear can be ripped (except for the spoiler again) I did this on 3 late evenings + sunday, I hope you will enjoy it :)

I like the approach. I noticed you used the Unity’s XR template, it is a good one. Just need to tweak the control a bit (ex: disabling the wheelbarrow rotation to be able to rotate player ;) ) I had fun making them flee me and go to the “part box” and kill them near it haha

Just saw the video, it is indeed a very basic prototype. Interesting idea, but I’d rather aim to enemies weapons to make them fall down then pick them up walking with the mech on top for a simple concept (with a crane or else in the future).

Reading the description of what is intended, I believe it could be a nice Mechwarrior remix. However, I got way too much frustrated from the beginning: climbing the mech might sound cool but it is pretty pointless, and teleporting by mistake makes you go down outside straight away (please disable it imo) FPV mech control could be cool if we had some hints/texts to know what geometry does what.

I didn’t understand the concept at first, then I got it changing the pricing haha. Nevertheless, my issue was that I couldn’t rotate with the stick (needed to reset headset view), and I fall below the map if I move too much. I think fixing the technical problem would make a funnier experience :) (And I also want to throw objects to people if they don’t buy muhahaha 😈)

Haha I like this concept, how fun to rip the goblins apart haha. However, the goblins are basically fleeing the player and not harmful. Farming the biggest sword makes definitely the work easier afterward.

I found a kind of hack with the wheelbarrow: just put a sword on it then drag the whole thing to kill at distance 😆 So I would advise to have holsters on the play to carry the weapons instead and disable carrying weapons on the wheelbarrow.

I am just lacking of an objectif to achieve except survival: I would have been inspired by Lethal Company game with some day/night cycle to get the expected daily income in time 😉 Good job to the small team

I just tried the game with a AVP the time I borrowed it, works fine. Gaze and tap is very easy, though I preferred the Gun & tap but actually only using one gun so I could hold my hand a bit sideway with the other (then I became John Wick shooting quite fast and more accurately). Add some score and a timer and you will have some proper entertaining gameplay. Good job for this prototype !

I like the graphics as it is cute. Game requires patience to reach the top while the controls are tricky to master, still a cool concept

Interesting game, however the controls are not smooth enough to aim more accurately.

I don’t remember, I saved it locally on my pc a long time ago haha

Never thought launching chalks could become a game, that’s a good idea! I immediately thought about this GIF 😂

Kerbal spirit here! I love it but game is not finished.

Launch of a show, didn’t think it would work so nicely. Great work!

A bit hard to control due to the camera movement on the web version but it is an interesting rail shooter concept.

Good 2D style game, get challenging over time, nice work !

Niiiiice. cute and sweet design :)

Interestingly creepy :), however I lack of presence of the creatures. Ambiance is cool for an abyssal experience. might need some goal of high score to keep the motivation when no enemy in sight.

Haha Thanks! I really like those blendshapes when I discovered them. At the beginning I was about to display emoticon, but this is definitely better 😀 Agree for the ground, I wanted to either limit the camera at border so you won’t be able to see that. I thought to make a pond with fishing people around so it would be a closed area but it wouldn’t match the sharks that way…

Thank you. Actually the initial goal was to make the fish grow at some extent with the eaten food, which makes it less agile but stronger, but no time to do that part unfortunately.

Thanks for the feedback! They actually do eat you but not as often as I expect unfortunately.

I noticed the speed is higher while going diagonal late too, easy fix to do (normalize the H/V inputs)

Thank you, I wil definitively make the sharks more aggressive. So you will be worrying more about them when in sight. I coudln’t have enough time to balance their behavior.

A simple game to chill with, you can spend some time to get other fishes :) Liked the fishodex-> fish them all! haha

Haha merci. Actually the sharks are enemies but I didn’t managed to increase the probability enough to chase the player (it was too agressive at the beginning but at release it was ok not to chase all the time). If you stay around them they might go a meal 🦈

As the jam is over, I updated the prototype game with your feedback ! Thank you all.

Indeed! This adds even more to the scare. Need to improve the minigame continuing on this idea hehe. As the jam is finished, I can push an update soon with the collected feedback.

I wonder if I should use other assets from now on 🤔, because I challenged myself to use mostly assets I got for free.

Thank you. I attached the camera to the character already, so it is now easier to predict the next wall. The update will wait for the end of the jam.

This was my first idea: let the player move around the room but this would require time I didn’t have. Still you can look around with the mouse (holding click). Did you got the jumpscare or was the minigame too difficult already ? For sure the game has to be polished.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Talking about window, the one in the room was about to be a first jumpscare but had no time (so I missed updating the audio before the deadline). I wanted the player to focus more and more on the minigame so is his stress: increasing. I think I probably spend less than a classic work day split in 2 evenings doing so avoiding spending time on creating art but tried to smartly choose assets and build this prototype.

Actually, I needed to find a good balance between the difficulty so people would basically fail with no consequence until it clicks so as the player improves the score staying focus until the Game Over. Thank you for the feedback, some work still need to be done on sound (already fixed but waiting for the end of the jam before updating)

Nice score. Perhaps I could set some kind of leaderboard 🙂

If you are a VR enthusiast, you should definitively give a try !

I was a bit confused after wandering in the trailer park looking for “something” from the notes. Unfortunately, it seems that we will have to wait for an update to see more. The car intro is nice but like others said, could be skipped, however I liked the radio interaction. The park set up is interesting though as it is settling the ambiance nicely.

Great job! Sound, level design, menu, gameplay and the storyline, all good! Only the experience was too short but got scared in a so small time. Smart use of assets, well done.

I want cookiiies now 🍪! haha I like the creature, even it is not always clear to keep the sequence in mind at some point. Still, it is a fun game to play.
