All the items you are referring to are AddonPackages.  If you open the AddonPackages folder you can see the files.  These are packed files, and you shouldn't edit them to to remove certain items, but you can remove entire packages.  For example you'll see some MeshVR packages.  You can delete all packages except for vamX and vamX Base without major consequences, but when you try to use the Hub to download stuff, things may be downloaded again (if some hub package depends on some MeshVR look or even a single file/texture in that MeshVR package).  For vamX there are large packages with many items, and you can't remove a certain look.  This is partly because of complex dependencies.  For example, a look isn't just the settings that make the female a certain size or shape, the majority of the file size are textures ("skins") which are often applied to MULTIPLE LOOKS.  Also, in vamX we assume a certain set of skins/textures/clothes/etc. for things like random look generation, voice control, random clothing, etc., etc.
In short, you are welcome to non-vamX things from the AddonPackages folder.  It might save space.  You might also just want to buy a USB drive meant for fast file transfer and put VaMX there (you can just copy or move the folder at any time).

In the standing poses there is a non-animated standing supported lotus pose (you need to go to Poses -> Standing and go to the next page a few times to get past the animations to regular standing poses).  This is the male standing and the female with legs wrapped around him.  This pose works for a 3some that is male for double penetration.  After making the 3some male you can also click around different poses, but most of them won't be double penetration, but you can still have various MMF threesomes.

1) If you don't see a Male (2nd person) start by choosing a Male from the Male tab.
2) In the 3some tab press Create 3some (if you don't yet have a 3rd person).
3) Press Load & Save Looks, Hair, Clothes and then choose a look for the 3some.  Easiest to start by pressing Load & Save -> Load vamX Looks and choosing a look
4) You can stop there, and just switch Poses as normal.  Most Lying down / bed poses have nice 3 some positioning.
5) You can play with the Switch Roles button to switch, for example, which person you are having sex with.  You may need to press this more than once as it can also put the male in the receptive position (as if he was receiving missionary for example), but on the 3some second page there is a button specifically to switch the female and 3some
6) The Create Orgy and other Orgy buttons are going to only work in some situations, you'll need to play around with or avoid those buttons.

There is physics, including being able to finger someone.  It's easiest to actually finger someone in VR. In desktop mode you could load a pose where he is fingering her, and then use the mouse to have him finger her ("mouse thrust"), but it would be hard to manually control his hand like that in other poses if he wasn't already fingering her in that pose.  So in Desktop mode choose a pose where there is fingering, etc., then use the Action system to start the action, or use mouse thrust to manually act.

There is, by default, an orgasm system where the characters are brought to orgasm over time, if anything is touching them in the appropriate places to build arousal.

When you downloaded "looks" from the hub you probably downloaded scenes.  Often times creators (who are often just regular users) deliver the look as a scene, but not as an "appearance" which means in order to load that look in any scene, with or without vamX, you would need to first open that scene and save the look as an appearance.

Search this help file for "custom looks":
https://sxvr.com/vamxuserguide/

Also, if you want to do it the vamX way, go to the vamX Female tab and the first button there allows you to load presets of various types, including look presets (or clothes, etc.).  This avoids having to go to edit mode, select the model, etc.

For the Lovense Max 2 (and other similar toys) there is an update available that adds suction (or other non-vibration attributes for other toys).  Download the latest version of vamX Connect for free from https://sxvr.com/lovense

Right, you get permanent updates for this version VaM (1.x).  But eventually there will be a totally new software (not even compatible with VaM 1 stuff) that isn't included.

Yes, you also get the creator keys.

Yes, you also get the creator keys.

When you open the VR version, it also opens a window on your computer.  If the window is black try pressing "m" to show the monitor view.  You can also press F1 to show the menu bar from the desktop window.

Also you can check from the VR headset:
Turning on/off monitor view:
https://hub.virtamate.com/wiki/user_preferences_vr1/

For full body tracking you need to use SteamVR compatible trackers.  For example Vive trackers + Vive base station.  Controllers track hands, and the headset tracks the head, but you need at minimum 2 trackers for the feet and really you also need another tracker for the hip for thrusting.  So you need 3 more external trackers, that SteamVR can read, if you want full body tracking.

This purchase includes all keys for June + July, so purchase as soon as you're ready.

It's Windows only, and needs good access to your graphics card.  Maybe some people who are very tech savvy get Windows games running on Linux.  Otherwise, try installing Windows.

There is a hide button on the vamx menu.  Press it and the menu will disappear and not talk back up when you grab something / press the button that normally toggles the menu.  Later when you wanted back you either need to find the very small show button, or more likely use the virtamate main UI's big show vamx button.  So if you don't want to grab to toggle the vamx menu, click the hide button on the vamx menu.

For full body / leg tracking you would need to have external trackers in order to control the legs like you are walking. Generally that means using vive trackers or something steam compatible.

You get permanent access to Creator for this Virt-a-Mate including all updates that apply to improving VaM (also known as VaM 1).  When the next, totally different and completely rewritten version of Virt-a-Mate comes out (that isn't compatible with any existing people, clothes, plugins, hair, etc.) that is not included in this purchase.

Yes, there are two ways to do this.  The normal way is to just use the drop down in the vamX AI Chat Web UI to select 1st Person / 2nd Person / 3rd Person (Change "Speak As Female / 1st Person" to select the male or other person). This is the recommended method.

Alternatively, if you AREN'T using vamX, and are a little familiar with Virt-a-Mate, you can use the standalone AI Chat plugin and just attach the plugin to the person atom to target that person.

I just checked and they worked fine. Maybe try again?  If you are still having issues let me know which voice you are using, and which server you are using (US / EU / Global) and meanwhile try a different server.  Also bug reports are answered most quickly via Discord (#vamx).

This version of the game, with vamX, makes everything easy.  You don't need to learn how to animate anything.  You can simply choose a pose and sex starts and builds appropriately depending on stimulation.  There are also hundreds of animations so she can walk, lie down, dance many sexy dances, including lap dances, etc., etc., etc.  All of this can be in many different environments, with hundreds of different looks (really infinite looks as you can generate novel looks by pressing a button).  You don't need to learn anything difficult, just open vamX and start the main tutorial to get an idea of how to use the easy buttons, like Pose, Action, Female Look, etc.  A lot is just automatic, for example, she speaks automatically, but then you can go in, and change her voice if you wish, etc.

No. You are paying for VaM and vamX together. You do end up paying MeshedVR (VaM on Patreon) when buying this, just through itch.io.  It comes with permanent free updates for VaM (the current VaM, also knowns as VaM1)

This could be caused by two things:

1) You don't have enough hard disk space on the drive you are running VaM_Updater.exe from.  (by the way, you don't need to run the installer again, just move the VaMX folder to a new drive and run VaM_Updater.exe... or even if you don't move to a new drive, clean some space then run VaM_Updater.exe, each time your run VaM_Updater.exe it tries to resume from wherever you left off).

2) Perhaps you are somehow being blocked from downloading the files?  Some firewall (local, or country wide if you're in Russia?).  Maybe a VPN can help if you are having firewall issues or being blocked from downloading files from certain sites?

(1 edit)

Well, actually a lot of what you just asked about can be done with vamX (without complicated VaM scene editing), except showing specific items of clothing (as opposed to loading presets of clothing where the preset replaces all current clothes with some or no clothes).

POSSESS / HAND COLLISION:
Please run the VR tutorial to learn more about possession, or check out the vamX Plugins Menu -> Embody / Possess options.  Assuming you are in VR, in that same area where you have Embody, you can scroll through the pages and toggle on/off hand collision or change the VR controller balls to hands.  All of this is covered in the VR tutorial in the vamX Scene Menu -> HELP -> VR (but even if you aren't using VR you can use Embody).

CLOTHING
For clothing vamX can do a lot, start with this: 1) Check the Clothing tab, as you can turn off specific types of clothing (remove pants, remove underwear).  Open the Clothing tab and press the right arrow to see various clothing tab options.  2) In the Clothing tab press the first button to build female clothes.  You can load clothing sets and enable types of clothing, including piercings, hats, etc.

You might be able to get by with this, but if not:
VAM has a number of tutorials available on YouTube, but turning on/off individual clothing items isn't that hard.  In the main VaM UI where you have Edit / Play mode, toggle to Edit mode, then using the Cycle Select Person button (icon of two people) to choose a person.  You will then see many tabs and near the top left (or right in VR maybe) there are two tabs, Clothing and Clothing Presets.  Click Clothing, then change All to Active so you only see what she is wearing, and you can toggle things off.

I understand you would like some alternative payment channel for Chinese.  It might be possible to sell the game in some Chinese shop, but it's not possible to translate the controls / game.  Do you suggest a certain Chinese shop that is easy to set up, and is as large as itch.io or larger?

Have you tried temporarily disabling any virus protection software you have (in case it is silently blocking it)?  The installer is, of course, virus free and you can check it on virus total, where all of the main virus protection companies show it as clean.  Of course try the standard stuff, like making sure Windows is up to date (pending updates can cause strange things) and restart your computer.  Let me know if that doesn't help.

VaMX is updated to the latest version of Virt-a-Mate.  VaMX receives updates to the latest version of the vamX plugin (where new features are constantly added) every 6 months. It arrives in a single Mega Update (with more testing the normal monthly updates) with all vamX VIP features (which are normally $10 per month).  So the itch.io version is updated infrequently, but updates are free forever (instead of paying $10/month for the vamX Patreon features).  If you are very very eager to get an update, you can pay the $10 one time to update ahead of schedule.

Great! So probably what was happening is that you were launching in VR mode, even when you wanted to use it Desktop only.  When opening in desktop mode, open using VaM (Desktop Mode).bat (as otherwise if you have any sort of VR headset or software active on your computer, opening VaM.exe will open by default in VR mode, with a black screen on the desktop, and the game only visible through the VR headset.

(1 edit)

In general a black screen simply indicates and incomplete or incorrect download. While downloading, did an error show?

A black screen can be caused by:
1) An incomplete download (but you say you've run the download multiple times, have you tried opening VaM_Updater -> Options -> Sync / Repair All?  Were there any issues or error messages during download?)
2) Non-English file path or very very long file path.  Have you tried moving the folder to the root of some drive, like D:\VaM?
3) Video card without a proper update, have you updated your video card drivers?
4) If you press the letter "M" on your keyboard, while Virt-a-Mate is open, it toggles the screen going black. Does pressing "M" (once it's loaded) or F1 show anything.

I'm sorry if your payment doesn't go through, individual creators don't have anything to do with accepting payments, you would need to talk to itch.io support https://itch.io/support

If you really can't make it work with itch.io check: https://hub.virtamate.com/threads/how-to-officially-get-vam.39231/

Both download links are the same, the second link is a fallback in case you have a problem with the first. vamX runs on Windows.

The installer downloads around 23 GB worth of data. You can see in the minimum requirements the game needs 30 GB of free disks space.  As you start to use VaMX textures are cached for quicker loading, which will further expand the folder size. You'll probably also download additional content online (since there is so much) which is why we recommend setting aside at least 80 GB of room on a disk for VaMX.

VaMX runs fine off of a fast external USB drive (for example a Samsung Fit Plus or Sandisk ultra, or if you really want speed get an external SSD) and for some people they prefer to keep VaMX files on an external drive.  The "installer" actually doesn't install anything complex, all files are just downloaded to a single folder (no start menu shortcuts, etc.), and that folder can be moved anywhere at any time.

The vamX version on itch.io is updated once every 6 months to the latest version of vamX.  The latest version of vamX costs $10 per month at https://www.patreon.com/vamX   Buying on itch.io gets you a free permanent license, and every 6 months the itch.io version is upgraded to the very latest (that people were paying $10 a month for).  So buying on itch.io is good over the long run, if you don't always need the latest version of vamX.  If you want to stay up-to-date with the latest VIP version of vamX, you must subscribe on Patreon.  That subscription is $10/month.  You can always choose to subscribe for a single month now, just to get the latest version of vamX and add it to your itch.io version if you can't wait for the free update (which will update past 1.36 to whatever is the latest at that time, which will include all 1.36 features plus more).

I'm not sure what you mean.  There is a tutorial for example, if you open VaMX, then on the right side click the Tutorials section.  If that's what's missing your key is missing and you should download VaMX again into a new folder as something was corrupted (why would your key file be deleted)?  You can also get into a set of tutorials by opening the vamX scene and going to Scene -> Help -> Main Tutorial.

If you check the description here on itch.io, you'll notice there isn't any mention of Chat AI functionality.  That feature can't be included in any permanent subscription, because it costs us a large amount, per user, to provide AI access.  There aren't any places where you can pay once and forever have access to AI services, as currently they have substantial cost each time you ask an AI anything.  It's estimated that it costs OpenAI $0.50 - $1 on average for each question asked to ChatGPT. The vamX Chat AI feature consists of around 10 servers with professional graphics cards (4090 or above).  These servers serve a variety of NSFW chat models.  In addition a subscription to the Chat AI feature includes GPT4 (although it's SFW), KoboldAI (with a paid key) and the ability to connect to your own model served through RunPod. It also includes many text to speech servers, so the AI can talk. We also run servers that analyze the conversation, so that she can respond in vamX.  There are thousands of actions which can happen in vamX, if you are set for actions to happen, but these actions require a separate AI to analyze the conversation and decide if any are appropriate (and there is a choice if you want actions to happen only if she agrees to them). Finally, we also run speech to text, so that you can talk and not type.  All of this together is a substantial monthly cost, and so it's only available if you pay a separate monthly subscription of $19. I know this is a lot, but it's just mainly what it costs us to run the servers, we aren't really making much money on the Chat AI part itself, although it's very exciting and we are improving it all the time.  That said, we are also improving many other things about vamX, and these other improvements will be free.  The itch.io version is updated every 4-6 months with a TON of new features.

VaM (or VaMX) can be deleted simply by deleting the VaM folder you downloaded it into.  It does not install or modify anything outside of it's own folder. So just delete that, and then purchase this from itch.io and you should be good to go!  It's a simple, single installer.  VaMX requires a lot of resources, but your 4080 RTX should be just fine.  At least 16 GB of RAM is required.

All itch.io games show up as "ITCH.IO GAME STORE" unless the creator uses an external payment method. We allow itch.io to collect payments for us, so it will show up on your credit card statement as "ITCH.IO GAME STORE".

Please install VaMX to a path without special (non-English) characters.  Try installing it to C:\VaM or D:\VaM.

(1 edit)

That is the current latest update for itch.io.  VaMX for itch.io is updated every 5-6 months with a tested mega update that includes all developments that have occurred during that time. Updates are always free.  There was a recent notice sent by itch.io that there was an update available. This was because a new version of the Installer was posted (due to us changing content delivery network providers). Itch.io automatically sent that email without us requesting it, which confused some users. It wasn't a game update, just a new installer that downloads the same files from a different source.
