This is super useful! thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for the feedback! It was very useful. :)

thanks a lot for such a lovely feedback! :)

Thank you ! 😊

I like the plot of the game, and it turned out quite fun to play too!

\O/

Great artwork! I liked the game mechanics, and loved the idea of hiding cheat codes that you can simply go to that totem and tell them!
The only thin I would change in the game mechanics is controlling the direction of the duck (found it a bit hard to change direction left/right). I think a minimap would be nice too.
Very cozy atmosphere, the SFX match the graphics well!

I had a lot of fun with this game! Nice pixel art and music 😊

This was amazing! Such great atmosphere. And the artwork is so cool!

I like the art and the concept, and had fun playing it!
I think an in-game introduction about the mechanics would be a good addition to the game!

Great game! I struggled with controls at first but was able to pick them after some practice! I liked the music and also the procedural nature of the levels, but they got a bit repetitive after some time!

I must admit you were the first to call them beetles! hahaha I voted for an ant, my girlfriend is sure it's a spider, and my game jam partners called them cockroaches ! hahaha

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

They are super useful! I edited my last comment with a image of our viewport if you want to take a look!

I'm glad you enjoyed! Don't hesitate to message me if you need help understanding the code 😊
We made the game in 2D, with a fixed camera that gets the whole stage. Then we output this 2D to a texture using a Viewport node, and apply it (as a texture) to a cylinder mesh (the tower). It was a clever idea from @miphos !

That's how it looks:

Thank you Nubels! Those were all ideas we had in our to-do list but didn't finish in time! (having 3 hearts, opening doors and chests).

Thats cool! haha thanks a lot :)

I had fun playing your game! I saw that you had weather changes in your to-do list and I agree those would be a nice addition!

Thank you for your nice comment! We came up with ladders 3h before the release time hahaha

we made the same game! hahaha I like your version, the animations are well polished and the camera perspective is perfect 😊

I love the artwork! One of the most creative puzzles I've seen in the jam! 😊

hahahahahahahhaha thanks a lot! it was done by bruno (@miphos) on pico-8 ! 🙀
He also did a cool thing that changes the music according to your shape while you play, but we had to remove it in the webgl version 😅

I love the aesthetics and the sounds (they reminded me of N64 Tony hawks pro skater) !

I love the PSX aesthetics! I didn't get how it fit into the theme, but had fun playing. It's very impressive that you were able to craft such a nice experience in just 4 days!

Such a creative interpretation of the theme! I found the angle controls a bit hard in the beginning, but ended up getting it and had fun playing!

I loved the style and the music!

I liked the concept! And the difficulty progression was very well done!
It was funny to see the same basic idea from my own game (stretching vertically and horizontally) applied to a whole different concept and genre! haha

Thanks! we remake it from scratch in a rush 20 minutes before posting

Thanks! 😊

I love the artwork! The game was hard at first, but then I got it and it turned out super fun to play. Such a creative concept for the "built to scale" theme!

thanks a lot for the review! We struggled to make the perspective of the camera the best possible, but it really is a tricky thing in this genre. A issue we also had was the first wall hiding the next one until very late, depending on the perspective, so we tried to balance between the two things. I'm glad you had a nice time!

Genius!!!

I liked it a lot! You could use it as a sandbox to craft scenes for other games!

you need to get it on his youtube video
