That's what I like to hear :)

We just fixed it. :) You're probably the last person to go against evil bird ai

Challenging but fun nevertheless. Did not expect obstacles coming out from the cars, that was nice touch. One thing that should be adapted I think would be the character movement to a be a tad smoother. Other than that, really great for what the game tries to achieve and excellent use of the limitation.

I enjoy a puzzling challenge once in a while. Really well executed and it feels satisfying to play. Overall, one of my favourite submissions.

We are aware of a few issues. We plan to release an update with fixes for the character jump so you can jump a bit higher. In terms of how to get passed the bird, the only two options are probably to  lure the bird away on the left and then pass or restart the game.

Send us your submissions and I will have a look later on today. Going to get some much needed sleep first.

This is our baby: Flop Friction. pun intended

Starting off, the overall atmosphere of the game in terms of visuals is incredible 5/5 for that. This could have been further on reinforced with some slick sound effects and soundtrack. The resolution for my computer was a bit off so I couldn't really read the menu/pause menu properly. The jumping was a lil bit frustrating at times, this definitely needs revising. The speed of the character whilst sprinting was a bit too exaggerated as well. Also, I was really confused of a certain level where some fire balls would not stop following me.

Some good points:

The visuals (shader I assuume) are on point and I would say don't restrict yourself with simple platformer if you plan to continue working on the game, as I do think it has potential.  I loved the subtle environment integrated checkpoint system.  Overall I think the game for only a few weeks of works is incredible for what it is and what is trying to achieve with a few nitpicky features such as the jumping mainly which was not as 'controllable' and reliable as I personally hoped/wished and wanted more challenge whilst playing. I hope you continue with it.

Hello people. My name is Tudor, I'm 24 year old Master's student doing a research program called Media Technology in the Netherlands. This is quite different compared to my bSC background, which was a three year Game Dev & Design program at Greenwich University. I started jaming a few weeks ago and got up to three games already. I was a team organizer and  leader for all of them so far. :person_hand: My skills involve complex game designing, programming and creative/ outside the box thinking when it comes to concept/lore and mechanics. Here is my itch and portfolio, let me know if you are still looking for members to join. :)

The gravity mechanic feels innovative and is implemented quite well. I enjoyed the game overall and I do think it can be improved into something even greater than what it is now. I'm imagining adding kinda of a slow motion effect every time you switch between directions, thus, forcing the player to time their next move fast. Regardless of this suggestion, the game feels great and hope to see more of in the future. Small constructive feedback, I wish it was made clearer, a bit more intuitive when a level starts and ends to made the deadly sprites and non deadly sprite a bit diferentiated.

A checkpoint system would help a lot. The somber atmosphere aligns perfectly with the gameplay. It feels like a polished game.

My team and I would appreciate if you could give our game a try. We are open to hearing constructive feedback. Thanks a lot

Dope visuals. The gameplay feels unique, you should consider developing more on this game. Good luck!

Although the concept is not necessarily original, the approach you used to establish the visual and auditory experience is just brilliant.

The dash/jumping mechanic feels a bit unresponsive at times. From all the games I played within this jam, I personally think this game should win.

Really good game. I thought I was playing a fully published game.

I agree with previous comment, a bit challenging to spark the bubble at the level when you get the charge and right after 2 shurikens come your way. Having a charge whilst moving would create a different kind of gameplay, a more hectic approach to puzzles whilst at the same point creating possibility for a large variety of puzzles. I do love the concept and it does feel like a polished game. The puzzles are challenging and it does give you a sense of progression. Hope you keep working on the game because it does have potential. Good luck. Also, the checkpoint system is a nice touch.

We appreciate that you took the time and played through all the levels. We plan to create a more in depth narrative based experience using what we have as our basis. We will undoubtedly fix the animations problems and reconstruct the platformer controller. Cheers :)

Thanks for feedback. We will keep it up of course, hopefully at some point soon you will be able to play a fully developed game.

The cube kinda gets stuck once in a while which can be quite irritating considering the main component of it is platforming.

Kind of of interesting that you can switch between positions with the character if you go down, you pop up at the top of the screen and vice versa. I like this approach and the game visuals and feel overall. I think you can adapt this to the game so it feels like a smoother transition.

I enjoyed the game a bit too much. The pattern of the bullets spawn is hectic but at the same time manageble. The visual asepect is what I like the most. Overall the game feels complete.

Game is on point. You wouldn't think it was made in a week.

https://tudordrobota.itch.io/balls-out Building took longer than expected and also unity crashed during the first built. Two in one. I apologize for uploading it late, also I thought I uploaded it in time, but I only uploaded it on my itch instead of submitting in the jam itself. Thanks for understanding!
