We just want to thank everyone for all the lovely words and feedback!
Thanks to your comments, we’ve been able to patch a lot and make the game even more fun!
Even if we don’t win, we’re just happy we got to share this little project with everyone!! and who knows, maybe more will come in the future! but truly, thank you everyone who played and left feedback.

Stay tuned!

Team Delay <3

Absolutely! Simple, clear visuals can be just as striking, sometimes even more so than overcomplicated designs. What matters is the final impression, and this game nailed it!

It’s our pleasure as the team enjoyed it! Can’t wait to see what you all create next <3

tysm! we love getting feedback, and that's completely fair! very odd bug, we'll def look into it!

Really sick! We absolutely enjoyed this game! The visuals are incredible, truly some of the best in the jam, and everything runs super smooth. We loved the FPS toggle, seeing it hit a steady 60 FPS was awesome, and the art style is fantastic. The character models gave us major Mega Man Legends vibes, which was a fun touch.

The gameplay is solid too: managing your fire and reloading to survive the beasts creates a tense, engaging loop. And yes… some of us definitely got spooked when the beasts charged aha, amazing work on that end!

The theme use is clever, though we think adding more consequences for dying could make it even better. Right now, upgrades make the game too easy, and some (like rifle damage) become the obvious choice. Introducing trade-offs, like sacrificing speed or vision for more power could make decisions feel more tense and strategic, and make the beasts feel truly intimidating again.

We also loved the time-based night mechanic! A few more subtle indicators for morning would enhance the experience, like birds waking up or the light shifting toward sunrise, so players get that satisfying “we survived the night!” feeling!

For a jam game made in such a short time, this is amazing! With a bit more polish and added content, this could be an incredible horror survival game. Great work!!

beautiful, so much detail!! aaaaaaaaaaaa

rated! great work, loved death, what an amazing host aha!

What a hilarious game! The humor really shines, and Death as a host has so much personality, we especially loved the fishing voiceline; you can tell he absolutely hates it, which is perfect. The art style is charming, giving off a flash-game-era vibe, and the silly moments, especially how you die are genuinely entertaining.

Some of the minigames, however, can be frustrating or a bit janky. Even after Death’s long tutorial, a few mechanics weren’t fully clear.

For example, the flicking mechanic felt unintuitive at first, and things can escalate so quickly it’s easy to lose track, and it led to a few frustrating moments. Audio levels also fluctuate, with some lines being much louder or quieter than others.

Despite these minor issues, the game is really fun, full of comedic moments, and has a ton of personality. With a bit more polish, extra minigames, and refined mechanics, we could absolutely see this being a chaotic, hilarious full release. Amazing work!

Rated, best cat game for sureee! (also love the art, we all love psx era stuff like this!)

This game is an absolute blast! The overall aesthetic and level design are fantastic, giving off nostalgic PSX vibes while still feeling fresh and unique. We especially loved the parkour-style navigation, sneaking through vents, and the clever use of cat mechanics! Cats with nine lives as the embodiment of the theme was such a creative touch. The boss fight was intense and memorable, and the cat sounds are honestly adorable.

The visuals and 3D models are charming, the low-poly style works wonderfully, and the art direction really elevates the experience. The story and worldbuilding are engaging, and the levels flow smoothly, making exploration enjoyable. There’s a lot of personality and love in the design here, and it shows!! This easily stands out among jam entries.

Some minor issues though:

a few  the camera occasionally behaves oddly during certain interactions (like padlocks). These are small bugs that we hope can be addressed in a post-jam patch. A bit more music and varied combat mechanics, like enemy projectiles or movement options, could also enhance the experience. (Wont mention softlocks cause you already know the issue, so we won't bug you with stuff you know already aha)

Overall, this is an incredible achievement for a five-day jam!! The mechanics, level design, visuals, and polish are impressive, and the team clearly poured a lot of love into it. We’d be thrilled to see a full version in the future, with additional polish, combat depth, and more kitty chaos! Amazing work!

of course! fun of game jams is always getting feedback to improve!! and were happy it's going to good use! thanks for making a fun game, and were def gonna follow progress! wish you the best :D

of course! the fun of game jams is always finding ways to fix things up! we've been doing that too! and of course, time always leaves bugs behind, we never saw a flawless bug-free jam game ever aha-

we def will keep an eye out for the steam release! and wish you the best, its clear alot of love and passion is going into this! <3

rated! amazing work visually! <3

What a unique and fun little horror! We really liked the story and how unnerving it gradually becomes. The main character design is great too! she’s super sweet (even if a little naive), and that makes the whole experience even more charming and eerie when things start to feel “off.” We especially loved how the world slowly changes to remind you that you’re not alone!

The main issues we ran into were mostly technical: the game wouldn’t full-screen properly for us (we tried multiple browsers), and during some cutscenes, the art didn’t fully cover the screen, so you could still see parts of the world underneath. It’d be great to have those moments fill the screen completely, especially since the art looks really nice!

Gameplay wise, the movement speed felt a bit slow, and with how much there is to explore and read, it did get a bit tedious near the end, though we understand the slower pace, just be nice for less things to bump into or a run button with stamina :)

Overall though, this is a really solid and memorable little experience! The tone, visuals, and atmosphere all hit just right, and we’d love to see a full version with more scares, story, and of course, more of that beautiful artwork! <3

rated! amazing style! great work <3

Really unique and fun game! We loved the creative puzzles, our favorite was the section where you have to block the arrow on the last panel using the body from before, such a clever idea! The overall visual style is beautiful too, with that early Dreamcast/Late PSX vibe that really adds charm and atmosphere.

Main issues we ran into were mostly with the controls; the jump felt a bit inconsistent at times, and some of us had trouble getting it to respond properly. The second area, especially the jumping pit, could get a bit frustrating when the ragdoll would fly off in awkward directions, making retries tricky. Having to replay the whole game after a game over added to the challenge too, so maybe future builds could include checkpoints or slightly larger collision boxes on the statues for smoother platforming.

A small nitpick, but we also think the button font could be a little cleaner to better match the buttons’ look. And having a few more animations (for jumping or dying, for example) would go a long way in selling the charm even further! though we totally get how jam time limits can cut things short!

Still, this was a fantastic entry overall. The core idea is strong, the puzzles are genuinely smart, and the presentation is great. With more polish and extra content, we could totally see this being a hit on Steam or Itch. Amazing work! <3

played! really impressive, hope you get at least top 20!

This was such a fun experience! we absolutely loved the visuals and atmosphere! The mystery hooked us right from the start, and the retro-inspired look combined with the soft lighting gave it a really immersive tone. The dialogue styling and font choices were also a great touch, they added personality and charm to each interaction.

We really enjoyed the story setup too; it’s short but feels like a glimpse into a much bigger world, and we’d love to see it expanded one day! The tone and pacing make it super engaging, and it easily stands out as one of the more cinematic entries we’ve seen.

That said, there were a few bugs that stood out during our playthroughs:

  • Camera issues: In a few spots (like the padlock section or upstairs area), the camera would suddenly flip or break free from its position, making it hard to control.

  • Character clipping: Sometimes the character would sink lower or collide with invisible walls, especially when interacting with objects like locks or doors.

  • Progress blockers: In a few cases, certain objects stopped responding (like the watch or doors), forcing a restart.

Despite those rough edges, this has tons of potential, the storytelling, atmosphere, and presentation are all top-notch. With a few stability fixes and polish passes, this could easily become a standout mystery experience. Fantastic work overall!

rated, not bad for your first! hopefully the feedback helps for future jams!

(1 edit)

For a first jam entry, this really isn’t bad at all, great work getting something fully playable out there! The main thing holding it back is that a lot of the content feels like it’s still using default Unreal or marketplace assets, which makes it harder to rate higher compared to other more customized entries. But don’t worry;  we’ve all been there on our first jams!

A few notes we noticed while playing:

Particle Effects: The visual particles cover up the white text, making it a bit hard to read.

Default Icons & UI: The default Unreal icon stands out a bit; swapping that out would help polish the first impression.

Options Menu: If certain features aren’t ready yet, it’s better to leave them out entirely, that way players don’t assume it’s broken. Still, we appreciated that you included those details in the description!

File Size: The build was quite large (over 1GB). You can shrink it down by going to Project Settings → Packaging and setting it to only build the levels you need. That’ll stop Unreal from including example maps or showcase content from asset packs.

Console Access: We were able to open the Unreal console in your build; make sure to always package in Shipping mode for release. That hides all debug commands and keeps players from breaking things or finding test assets!

Overall, for your first jam, you did a solid job getting everything running, and we mean that! A lot of us had rougher first projects, so don’t be discouraged. The most important part is finishing, and you did that.

Keep it up!! We’re excited to see what you make next!

rated, this one made us cry, really beautiful!

What a really sad and beautiful game, it’s genuinely heart-wrenching at points, with such a sweet story and touching minigames! We especially loved the phone conversations, since they feel so realistic and natural, which made the story hit even harder.

Only a couple small notes:

he minigame was fun, though the assets felt a little mismatched stylistically. If it’s meant to resemble a Game Boy game, it might look even better in black-and-white (or that classic green tint), just a small nitpick though!

We also noticed that during the minigame, some UI elements would flash after dying, almost like the game was still playing in the background. It’s minor but worth flagging in case it affects other segments. (sorry hard to show in screenshot but imagine the connected part of the phone flashing)

Overall though, this was a really lovely and heartfelt experience, powerful, emotional, and beautifully written. Amazing work!

Rated! love the characters, amazing work <3

Really lovely game! We had a lot of fun with the designs and visuals, and solving your own murder is such a cool and unique take on the theme!

Only a few small things we noticed: while the dialogue is really nice to listen to, it can get a bit long, and sometimes it cuts out if you interact with another item, with no way to go back. It’d be awesome if you could re-talk to characters or maybe have a recorder to replay conversations! (Totally get that’d be tough within the jam’s time limit though — just a note for a future version!)

There were also a few minor visual bugs, like the UI filter not cropping correctly and not overlaying fully.

Plus… we may have accidentally flown into the void, which we’re guessing wasn’t part of the investigation, haha.

Still, this was a really fun and strong visual detective game! We’d love to see a more polished full version someday, even as it is, you all did an amazing job!

Rated! simple and fun, love it <3

We all really enjoyed this one! It’s such a simple yet fun little game, the originality of the controls really stood out, and rolling down the hills was super satisfying, haha. We also loved the use of the coat and the signs that reveal bits of lore along the way!! Really sweet touch.

If we had one suggestion, it’d be to add a bit more gameplay variety? maybe some obstacles, slopes that change your speed, or interactable elements to spice things up. Still, as it is, this was a charming and creative little experience. Great work!

Ah, that happens! We had a whole plan for puzzles and cutscenes too, but time got us in the end, haha. Still, it’s always better to have a game that’s mechanically solid than just a visual mess!

Either way,  Great work overall! <3

Rated, great work! very unique for the jam, we havent seen any trivia stuff yet! so great!

We definitely had a hard time with this one, haha, trivia isn’t our strongest suit (at least for most of us), so we ended up dying a lot! Still, it was really fun, and we loved the voice acting!

Our only suggestion would be to add a bit more visually? maybe some small animations or effects while waiting for the host to ask or reveal questions. It’d help keep the energy up during those pauses.

We also ran into a small visual bug when dying and trying to leave:

That said, for the time limit, this was really well done! And huge props for doing something unique, we haven’t seen any other trivia-based games in the jam. Great work!

Rated! easily should be top 10, we loved every second of it!

rated! really loved the art style and the gameplay! best of luck <3

We really love the visuals and Jacksepticeye references, they add a fun and charming touch! The use of the theme is excellent, and the art style is cohesive and lovely. The lore also feels intriguing, giving a lot of potential for expanding the story.

Some things felt a bit slow, particularly the dying mechanic, which takes a while. It could be interesting to see either a faster process, or an in-story upgrade/feature where the character gets used to it, allowing smoother gameplay. Also, timing-based puzzles could be less restrictive to let players explore more freely.

Overall, this is an amazing jam entry!! fun, engaging, and full of potential. With more content, story elements, and animations, this could really shine. Great work! <3

all rated, love the visuals and vibes, amazing work <3

This game really nails the spooky, Dead Space–inspired atmosphere, it made us feel genuinely uneasy in the best way! The level design and visuals are impressive, and the environment really sells the tension and space-horror vibe.

really beautiful graphics honestly!

A few issues popped up during our playthrough: insta-death moments can be frustrating, especially since there’s no option to skip the intro. It’d be great to see savepoints or checkpoints added, as some of us couldn’t fully reach certain objectives due to other minor bugs and level gaps. Healing felt a bit slow at times, and the challenge is high, but that adds to the thrill for those who enjoy tense gameplay. Also some tweaks to the ui would be good, since right now it's kinda stretched, but for a short time you did great!

Overall, a stellar, immersive horror experience with amazing atmosphere and solid visuals. Very fun, spooky, and memorable jam entry, excellent work!

will do! were gonna get to rating yours soon as we can <3

dont worry were on the grind!

we'll get to yours before the deadline for sure <3

thank you! also no user error, this is a bug on our end! it's just we forgot to implement a failsafe to stop the user from spamming the rotate, which messes up the inputs, sorry ;-;

we plan to patch that and more! so hopefully you come back after when its patched, and if not still, tysm for the kind words and the feedback!

All rated <3

Wow,  the voice acting in this game is outstanding! Every line really elevates the experience, giving it a professional, almost AAA-level polish. Combined with the puzzle mechanics, it makes for a really engaging and unique game.

We loved the concept and the variety of puzzles,  some of the intro puzzles are clever and really make you think. A few of us found certain areas a bit confusing or spaced out, and there were some minor bugs (like black screens after a few runs), but these didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment.

The art, sound design, and environments are all top-notch and really help sell the atmosphere. Even with a few tricky or unclear moments, this is a genuinely impressive and fun experience, huge props to the team for creating something this polished and engaging for a jam!

the team would def check it out! cause this has alot of potential! also we can tell (we had sleepless nights too haha)

rated! we loved your game, hope it at least get top 50!!
