What a hilarious game! The humor really shines, and Death as a host has so much personality, we especially loved the fishing voiceline; you can tell he absolutely hates it, which is perfect. The art style is charming, giving off a flash-game-era vibe, and the silly moments, especially how you die are genuinely entertaining.
Some of the minigames, however, can be frustrating or a bit janky. Even after Death’s long tutorial, a few mechanics weren’t fully clear.
For example, the flicking mechanic felt unintuitive at first, and things can escalate so quickly it’s easy to lose track, and it led to a few frustrating moments. Audio levels also fluctuate, with some lines being much louder or quieter than others.
Despite these minor issues, the game is really fun, full of comedic moments, and has a ton of personality. With a bit more polish, extra minigames, and refined mechanics, we could absolutely see this being a chaotic, hilarious full release. Amazing work!
