This rules. I like the progression in traps, the visuals, and the dedication to the fixed camera. 

Solid idea. Some obstacles or ways to extend time would go a long way!

Might be hitting a weird technical bug on my end, seeing nothing but an empty blue space with "Lives" and "Level" HUD text.

Fun main mechanic here, couldn't quite figure out how to exit at the top though!

Couldn't get this running in SteamVR, unfortunately

I'm thrilled to finally release the full version of my forward-scrolling hoverbike action game, HORIZON VANGUARD. It's an arcade-design game playable both in VR and flatscreen forms, and has an excellent, catchy soundtrack by coda.

Horizon Vanguard is a fast and dense arcade-structured action game that combines classic scrolling shooters with VR's immersion and aiming mechanics. It features bright visuals and a catchy, melodic soundtrack.

Currently the Location Test demo is complete. The full game is planned for 2018. I'd be open for talking about localization at any stage. Feel free to reach out to horizonvanguard at or through itch!

Drawing inspiration from saturated, hectic, and skill-based arcade games new and old, including games like Burning ForceBorder Down, and DARIUSBURSTHorizon Vanguard is a VR action game that aims to combine the speed, focus, and density of arcade shooting games with the immersion and input capabilities of modern VR technology. Use your hovercycle to dodge enemy fire and attack armored ground targets while taking aim with your pistol to destabilize and destroy aerial foes! Use your radar to get your bearings when overwhelmed!

The "Location Test" demo covers the game's first zone and the starting half of each of the two zones that it branches into.
