Loved the aesthetics and the physics functionality. Here is my spin on advancing the game: https://itch.io/jam/day-2/rate/2190206

Extremely good game! I had a lot of fun playing the game. The progression works extremely well and each item gives you its own really useful ability.

The only small criticism then is that the boss fight does feel way too easy. After slogging through the dungeon for a long time and mastering the abilities, I didn't lose a single heart due to the shield in the final fight. Given the theme of "boss", it could have taken a more central role and   been a bit harder. But that's complaining on a high level.

Otherwise, the game looks top notch, and above all, feels very good to play. I especially like the bouncing off the walls.

Great entry, it was really fun!

Wow, what a game! I really enjoyed playing it a lot.

But the last level was sooo hard. It must have taken me 40-50 tries to get everything perfectly timed. And I don't think I could repeat that 😅 I didn't think it was a bad thing at all though. It really put me "on the edge".

Small suggestion for improvement: With such cool cut-scenes at the beginning, I would have liked a short explanation of the game. When I got to the first lever, I didn't manage to open the door, then searched in the manual somewhere under the game and the lava got to me before I could figure out what to do and press E.

But all in all a great game, I had a lot of fun!

This is a very funny interpretation of the theme! - and feels like it is also based on true events (or at least feelings) 😂.

The game is of course quite simple in terms of graphics and UI. It also took me a while to see the clock that shows how much time you have. This might have been better off in the interface.

But all in all, it's an entertaining game that lives mainly because of the great idea.

I really enjoyed playing your game! The overall feel is great. The map is huge and it must have taken a lot of time to design it.

I also liked the story very much, although I have to say that the ending came rather abruptly.

Once you got used to the controls, they worked wonderfully as well. I think it would have been even easier if you could have used the space bar to climb the ladders as well.

But my absolute highlight of the game was how the worker walked himself back after each day!

A very fun concept! I like the idea and how it plays.

One thing that I found quite unintuitive was the bridge design. It took some trial and error until I figured out that you could just cross it.

But all in all a small but very enjoyable experience!

Great game! It looks very polished and plays very well. The art, the animation, the sounds are all very cohesive  and feel like a very professional pack.

Maybe a monkey thowing barrels lacks some creativity, but it makes the gameplay very clear and easy to understand. What I find hard is, that I feel very much out of control. You can spam left and right and things happen, but I am not able to find a strategy and if some zookeepers are on the ladders if a barrel rolls by, this is often times enough to  end my run.

All in all, a very good entry!

For such a small game, this was very cool and quite addictive! I had a lot of fun playing it and trying to beat my highscore. Also I love the simple but good looking graphics and the tutorial is a nice thing to have 👍

What a great game! I really enjoyed playing it. I like the good controls, the  color palette,  the music and the twist at the end.

I had some troubles starting the game. This was mainly due to the phrasing of "To skip press enter". I though I should wait for something to happen. But it didn't. "To continue press enter" would have made it more clear.

Also the spikes were colored very similarly to the background. But I liked the many checkpints this made it much less anoying it you failed.

All in all a very good submission 👍

I liked this game a lot! The art looks amazing and very unique. The controls feel good an polished.

I also like, how the game doesn't let you start from the beginning when you die. This made it less frustrating but I still felt, like I mastered the game and defeated the boss after I managed to survive the final round of the laser in two directions  plus color all around.

What I think, could be improved:
The part in the beginning took almost to long. If I didn't know something to fight would be coming, I would have gotten boared.

Also some anticipation from the boss would have been nice. In the end I managed to learn his  behavior and his patterns but the lack of clearly visible  anticipation made this rather difficult.

All in all, a great submission!

(Also: The thumbnail could have been chosen a bit better. It doesn't do the awesome graphics of the game justice.)

This was by far the best looking game that I have played in the jam so far! I love the   aesthetics, the animations and the color palette. The music is also very fitting and the overall gameplay feels very nice.

What I didn't know was what I was supposed to shoot at. When I tried to shoot things it mostly did nothing.    Also the first dash from the back came to early for the first time playing the game. I had no chance to  evade it (on my second run it was fine though).

To be honest: I didn't relly get this game. First I died after one second. After I got the controls I just ran left and right constantly until winning the game. I don't really know what happened and what I was supposed to do apart from collecting crosses. A bit more player feedback (or tutorial) would have been nice.

First I though: What the heck, a poo game? But I really liked the concept of the game and the tetris way of laying pipes.

It has a lot of bugs though, so I wasn't fully able to complete the level. My biggest problems were that the pieces  stopped at the top when using the down arrow and stopped in midair, when trying to move them under preexisting pieces. Also the up arrow for rotation needed some getting used to but this worked eventually.

All in all I think with more polish this idea has a lot of potential.

Wow, this game is HARD! I had no chance even getting a few hits on the first game. It also starts so fast, I always got hit the very first time without even having a moment to orient myself.   Having jump on x also felt like a weird choice as I kept mixing up the jump and shoot keys. Would have prefered to jump on space or up.

But it is a very polished looking game and I liked the implementation of the themes 👍

I really liked the setting of you being the monster in the boss fight!

I found the game to be a bit slow and easy though.  The waves took quite some time and the  fan shaft things were to OP, so  you could easily  destroy all enimies. One thing I would change is to give me the powers back instantly when a new level starts.

I liked the movement system. It was quite unique. Like some other commenters wrote, I cannot really see the theme of "boss" in your submission. But it definitely has a line :)
