Not unless you go looking into the comments! Besides, anyone looking for a way to get Clippy in 2025 would clearly be looking for something at least comparable to his original form, which is very much not how this appears to function, and yours uses AI anyway, so anyone with a moral compass wouldn’t want to use it.

So then it’s totally pointless

So it’s still not the original Clippy then

Had my horror-loving boyfriend sit next to me while I played this and he said “That actually got me” when I got jumped by the creature, so I say that’s a 10/10 :)

As someone who doesn’t play a lot of horror games (not to get too personal, but anxiety makes me very susceptible to even light horror), but the one liner description immediately made me want to try this one out, and I’m glad I did. I really liked the showcase room towards the end and even had a but of a funny moment with the moving statue - as soon as I saw “Don’t look at me” I was like “OK I won’t!” and turned around to read the sign for the floor plan diorama.

Very surreal experience that felt like reading someone’s diary (with permission).

Thanks! ^w^

Nothing happens when I try to run this on win10

Hitbox sizes could use some work, but I like the idea!

As someone who's dabbled in LOVE before (I really like LUA tbh) IIRC it is possible to build a project as an EXE so you should be fine :3

Says the suspended account. Anyway, "voice synthesis" is clearly a neural network/LLM thing - this is NOT the original clippy and the developer has failed to disclose their use of AI

Since your description is missing critical info: Does this use any form of AI/LLM? Because that's a dealbreaker for me. I just want the original Clippy ://

I was wondering the same thing and I think there is only one option there, also seems to only be one face option - a little confusing seeing as almost everything else is able to be changed but I think the idea is meant to be that physically they're basically the same character no matter what, you're just picking their outfit/voice/pronouns to make it feel more self-insert-able.

As someone who's here *for* Madhouse and August (they're visually similar to some of the artist's OCs, and I follow them on bsky), I fully agree with everything you're saying but can't bring myself to feel it as a negative. I literally didn't notice, I thought I was just getting really lucky with the dialogue 💀

The Night Creature is terrifying, great work. Just similar enough to a spider to be very unsettling

"Nothing new starts if you don't let it finish"

Definitely one of those "You know what? I never thought of it that way" moments.

This game was short but I will be thinking about it for a very long time.

(1 edit)

THIS IS SO CUTE! Took me moment to realize I could use my arrow keys to move instead of clicking the screen, but after that this was really fun! I really like seeing some love for raccoons, they're one of my favorite animals :3

Thank you for the kind words :) Hazards and power-ups are planned in the post-jam update, and the core is displayed in the window title (or at least, it SHOULD be, listed as "Rain Blocked") - I definitely intend to move that to be actually in the game window, like the fire's health is. Thanks for playing (also, cute username!)

PLEASE put this on Steam after the Jam so I can give you money for this masterpiece and more people can see it, this is peak, this is perfection, I felt something, it was a whole experience.

I think the hallway is infinite because I spent 15 real life human minutes walking and nothing happened. I noticed there's some strange collission with the grabbable wall allowing the player to fly out thorugh the roof but I never tried dropping while not over the floor so IDK if that was the intended solution?

Or maybe the game is a commentary on the futility of capitalism and I just didn't understand it lol

Very fun concept, but the spikes need a triangular hitbox - some of the movement is very unforgiving. The physics are fun and the orb is cute, i like it :3

I think they made shift the dash button because it's flatly easier to reach. Needing to curl your finger to spam ctrl could cause issues lol

This was extremely fun! It gets a little laggy when there's a lot of jumpy guys on screen but other than that this is a 10/10 :)

Very cute :3

I got stuck a bit early because the ceiling lights are extremely precise jumps (probably skill issue on my part but they should be closer, coyote time would also help a lot) but I like what I was able to see of the game.

When i heard the ding for the wait ending I felt so smart omg, 10/10 game. The pixel art is adorable :3

I somehow didn't expect this to be a horror game (noped out at "hold shift to run") HOWEVER I like the premise being presented here, and if I had the resilience to play through the whole thing, I just know I'd like the actual story if I got to see the whole thing. I'm sure this game is excellent, I'm just unfortunately not the target demo but I won't dock points for that.

This is a very cool idea and I would love to see it get extended some day :)

I don't have the skillz to make it very far in this game, but I like the idea. The archer cluster is a bit frustrating, because it feels like it should be skill-solution-able if you grind for the dash damage instead of blocking on that level, but the knockback can easily corner you - although I think that's supposed to be the point?

Regardless, this is a great game and I liked the humor. Bonus points for shittalking ChatGPT <3

I couldn't read the papers on the web version because of the resolution, but after installing the downloadable version, it was legible "enough" - I technically like the idea of having the notes use what appears to be real handwriting, because it really feels like someone just handed me a recipe note or something, but I think there should at least be an "enhanced reading mode" or something that uses a font to display the information.

I like a lot of the ideas presented here, but readability plus the magic dough seemingly not working definitely docks some points. I'd LOVE to see this get developed more after the Voting Phase is over though!

I can't find a setting for it in Preferences and googling he issue only yields a similar question from three years ago where an admin went "it doesn't exist lol," refused to elaborate, and closed the thread. Since that post was from three years ago, there's no way light theme hasn't been implemented yet, RIGHT?!?

I got so into this that I injured my wrist but look at that score! <3

I love basically everything about this game. The characters are really cute and make me think of Furret (affectionate). The cutscene towards the start could use a "move dialogue faster" button though, as I found I was able to read each line like four or five times before the text continued. I'm really interested in the story concept and would love to see this get a full release. Like, I'd straight up buy a full version of this on Steam or smth

Thanks for the feedback! Those are all things I'd thought about while working on it, but I ran out of time for implementing features. I'll definitely see what I can do as an update later on, since I've got some other ideas brewing (like lightning hazards)

Everything about this game is so cool. I love the bright, high-saturation colors, the pixel art is adorable, the music is a bop, and the whole way through it reminds me of if The Binding of Isaac had an endless level (affectionate) - this might just be my favorite entry in the whole Jam!

I literally love this so much, it's like a cuter and more approachable version of that coolmath game with the rectangular prism (affectionate)

Drag+ALT is a lifesaver, and it's so intuitive too! <3

google "OBS Chroma Key" and I'm sure you'll find a tutorial that explains it better than I can

Yes, there are special characters in the path to my desktop

that's really convenient! I had been using ezgif and didn't even notice they had a sprite sheet converter lol
