Responsibilities: Rigging & Animating our Player Character "The Crusader" and One Boss "Wrath"

Complete Project Description/Phases:

PHASE 1 — MVP (Current Development)

  • Crusader Controls

  • Camera System

  • Wrath Mechanics

  • Four Core Abilities (Crusader)

  • Single Arena (Wrath Arena)

  • SFX + Music

Looking to nail down and polish this MVP. All proceeding Phases hinge on this.

PHASE 2 — STANDALONE GAME | STEAM RELEASE (Elden Ring + Megaman Style game)

A boss-rush action game: Players Choose from a variety of Abilities In Load Out menu, Select Boss they want to fight, defeat Boss, obtain new Abilities to select in Load Out, Rinse and repeat.

PHASE 3 — FULL VISION | NEW TITLE | STEAM RELEASE (Slay the Spire + Elden Ring)

Rogue-like: Imagine Slay the Spire concept of navigating the map with all its different types of Node Encounters but 3D Elden Ring style combat and enemy fights.

Replace the Card Mechanics of Slay the Spire with:

  • Abilities (active) (Reward screen after defeating enemies)

  • Trinkets (passive)

  • Weapons (modifiers)

  • Armor (modifiers)

  • Gems

And so on.

The GDD is a work in progress for PHASE 3 still but it is coming along. Right now the main Goal is to build a strong MVP centered around tight, satisfying boss encounters, then expand into a larger progression system.

Project Description: A boss-focused 3D combat game inspired by Elden Ring & Megaman

Core loop: choose a boss → enter arena → defeat guards → fight boss → gain abilities that carry into future fights with strengths/weaknesses.

Goal is to build a strong MVP centered around tight, satisfying boss encounters, then expand into a larger progression system.

We have a great Animator with us now but will be leaving us soon for a recent job offer. The Crusader is being Animated now and will be up until He leaves for job.

Hi there. This is amazing work you are offering and have been doing for the community. Thank you so much.

My issue right now is trying to think of Menu UI design. Right now it consists of:

Start Menu > Boss Selection > Stat Allocation > Loading Screen > Game-play. Using all AI generated backgrounds for these Scenes/Screens.

2) Boss Selection: Those Boss figures are our own Art pieces.

3) Stat Allocation: We are changing this to be more of a Loadout Selection Screen where player can choose from 10 abilities, equip four of them only before loading into game.

Game Pitch: (Lore kind of follows Dante's Inferno, Nine Circles of Hell). 

A reduced-scope souls-like that turns boss order into strategy. Playing as The Crusader, you choose which boss to face, fight through a compact arena, and absorb their power upon victory. Each ability is stronger or weaker against other bosses, forcing players to plan their path carefully.

I suppose what I am asking from you is to perhaps design these screens in your own image, or one of the screens in your own image. Whatever you come up with, please make it PSD.

Project Name: King of Kings (Placeholder)

Role Required: Game-play Programmer who is efficient in Unity and enjoys/knows Game-Play Mechanics. Network Code is a Bonus, but not required. We can fill that gap.

Need to be a great communicator / collaborator. We value input from our Members and want to hear from you.

Responsibilities: Help implement game-play mechanics rather than pure coding or back-end.

Current Team Size: 6. Filling all essential skill gaps.

Compensation: Revshare based off commercially release of game. Will be seeking Investor/Crowdfunding before release, in which salaries will be issued to Members + Revshare.

Project Length: +6-8 Months to Prototype. Early Access or 1.0 Release > 1+ year

My name is Jared, Game Director of our Project, King of Kings (Placement Holder Title). We are a small team of six as of now. Myself as Game Director, 1 Programmer, 2D 3D Artists and then a Game Designer who is focusing Lore/Campaign: Prequel Missions at the moment.

The team is dedicated and we have been making slow but steady progress for the last month (team started coming together 1.5 month ago).

Project Description:  A Hardcore Competitive 1v1/2v2, online-multiplayer (also single-player), turn-based strategy & real-time-strategy game. If your King dies, you lose the game. If your Capital is sacked, you lose the game. Set in a fantasy medieval realm, Players manage Settlements, build Armies composed of their King, Knights, Archers and more. Traverse the world map, conquer settlements, complete points of interest, all while attacking & defending against other Players.

INFLUENCES: Warcraft 3, Warhammer 3, Age of Empires 2, Lords of the Realm 2.

OPERATING SYSTEM: PC Only Game

Lead Role Required Responsibilities:

- Lead Unity Dev/Programmer. Would have one, maybe two other Programmers beneath you, that you’d need to guide and communicate with.

- Multiplayer/Net-code experience would be a huge Bonus

- RTS genre experience would be a huge Bonus

Hitting a hiccup right now on trying to delegate to Programmers on how to go about working as a pair on the Project + the Multiplayer aspect. One has +7 years exp in Unity with multiplayer experience but has no Team Experience or Lead exp. Other Programmer has +2 years in Unity, no Multiplayer Exp but has Team experience. Both seem very knowledgeable, enthusiastic about the project but both are a little hesitant to fill the Lead role needed here to begin the Programming side of the Project.

We know Multiplayer is a beast to wrangle with but the game absolutely needs it. We want it, no ifs ands or buts.

Looking for a Unity Developer/Programmer who has Lead Role (or is at least willing to attempt taking on this Lead Role/Manager Job) experience and who has Multiplayer/Net-code experience for a game that is a Turn Base Strategy + Real Time Strategy genre game, TBS/RTS. Think Warhammer 3 + Warcraft 3. Not as big scaled as Warhammer 3 TBS portion though.

Hi there. Any experience as a Terrain 3D modeler? Game engine would be Unity. 

Interesting. Would the language of your SF engine be similar to C or C#?


I suppose since we are in the rapid prototyping/iteration phase, it probably doesnt matter so much what engine we use, rather just testing proof of concept of mechanics right now

Hi there,

For budgeting purposes, what is a typical rate you charge for Rapid prototyping game mechanics? Polished Prototype? To Vertical Slice of the game? The game we are working on is considered a Turn-Based-Tactical + RTS combat. Think Warhammer 3 turn based and Warcraft 3 RTS combat.  

I am completely oblivious to how much it would cost for someone with your extensive experience.
