Very nice art and music. I was extremely confused about what to do, so thanks to Purple below for explaining. :) I wish there were a bit more game in here, it seems like it could be fun to play around some more in that world.

Loved the story and the faces. Very interesting twist on the jumping game, sort of like being on a pogo stick, but controls definitely need work. Overall a solid entry with a lot of fun elements.

Ahh, fantastic. Really good idea/use of theme, well executed. Nice art/music/sound. Fascinating use of 2nd person; was that always the voice, or did you switch to that? It might be worth playing around with if you decide to extend the game.

Great art and music, neat idea, but it is so incredibly difficult. It's super compelling, but part 1 needs to be streamlined (easier recipes, introduce recipes one at a time so the player has time to memorize them, shorter days with fewer customers) and more forgiving fail states in part 2. I was dead before I realized I wasn't just out looking for papers on the ground.

Great use of theme, and the art is wonderful. It's too hard for me but I enjoyed the parts I got to.

Great visual style, neat concept and well-designed environment. Just needs more gameplay :)

Ran into a hard-stop dead end on my second playthrough, but on the whole nicely put together ink story. Is the erase theme about your previous job getting erased? Interesting characters/options for chatting with them.

Nice puzzles, good use of the theme, cute character - I loved that the face changed when running.  I would probably recommend getting rid of the run toggle, just using run all the time, and then designing the jumps around that pace. Or getting rid of the jumps altogether and refocusing the game on the puzzling/exploring which to me is a much stronger concept than navigating tiny platforms.

The game is simple but has some interesting thing going on. The barebones/virtual/mechanical environment art is super compelling, it makes me wonder what I'm really looking at here.  Nice work!

Extremely strong submission, nice work! Good music, art, concept, execution. Honestly the only thing I didn't like was that you couldn't undo a mis-click (that I could figure out) and that there didn't seem to be any closure to completing the tasks, so no incentive to do the job/make money. Shredding everything was just as good as doing it right.

Love the little crab dudes! he game is simple but there's a lot of potential for building on what's already there.

My mind is kind of blown that you made a multiplayer game for a game jam, well done. Interesting art and music, good pun in the title. The controls/jumping really hold back the rest of the game though.

Neat idea, great title, great music. Gave up when it was blacking out the screen and I died 15 times in a row. Tried hitting escape to skip the level but it just blacked out the whole game. Jumping is rough as others have said, the revised version is better. Cute art style. Using the enemy to get rid of blocks is such a strong concept that I wish more of the game were built around that (and similarly, that it were better developed, as it's hard to do reliably at the moment)

Thanks! I wanted to do a bunch of that stuff too but, you know, *taps watch*. And I was super proud of the music, it was my first attempt at real-time game music composing. I'll put yours in the sequel though! :D

it originally was a super high concept meaningful commentary on game development but that part got cut

lol you literally just went through my exact train of thought when deciding how to do the ending :)

Thanks! Yeah, I like to stick it to the man where art is concerned, really put a ton of effort into the sound and music so the judges feel bad about giving me a 1 on visual design and no credit at all for all the audio work.

In this version it's just capitalism :D

This is wonderful, well done!

Great to hear! Thank you! The original idea was for a portal-like "escape the system" concept, but I decided to scope it down into just a long form joke about a mildly-incompetent meditation app developer. Maybe someday!

Hahaha, thank you for appreciating my weird content!

I know right? I was really surprised when I was making it,  I was just joking around and then it worked. Brains are weird. :)

Yep! I used space heavily to start and ran like mad, then stuck to the edges and crept the rest of the way when that ran out. I was down to 1 health point but managed to get to the last shrine thingy.

Neat concept, strong visual theme. Short, but whatever. I wasn't sure what was going on or why I was there, but I didn't really get lost along the way so that's not a deal breaker.  Did I make the fire go away by not moving? If so, that's a neat puzzle solution. Nice work!

Cat game! Playing as mama cat taking care of the babies was a novel idea, I liked it! Simple straightforward concept, the human got stuck for a little while but with some pushing they sorted themselves back out. Fun game!

Marvelous bit of work here, really impressive amount of content and art. It looks really good, I enjoyed the dialogue a lot, and I had fun running around the little town. Add 4 more islands, rename it "The Fixer" or something and you've got a full game here.

Nice game. Pleasant feeling of accomplishment and progress. Good work!

Love the art style, everyone likes stacking rocks, excellent submission!

I really like the idea of building your own sense of calm at your job via robots. Super simple/straightforward, and completely wonderful. Clamtastic!

Solid game, very soothing. I liked the varied uses of the functionality: every level felt different. Neat use of randomized minnow location/movement, also. Great music. Nice work!

Short and sweet, tons of fun. Solid art and music, exploding enemy pieces are always welcome.  I feel like I have achieved inner peace through superior firepower. Excellent work!

high score: 151721!

Love the commitment to the theme, very satisfying to calm down the tempest. Cute dialogue. Loved the tutorial art also. Great work!

Fantastic puzzle game. Arresting visuals, solid sounds, good puzzle design. Really great all around. Could you post solutions? I can't figure out how to get the clams :D

Feels like you mostly ran out of time on this one, which is too bad because I've never had such a good time walking into the kitchen. The arrow-following mechanic is a neat one: nice clear graphics and user instruction. I'd like to see more from this project if you decide to put more work into it! Also it warms my heart to hear about people spending time on dev tools :)

(1 edit)

katamari-style games are really tough, and there's definitely still some rough edges on the controls/forces, but overall this was well-made and very enjoyable entry. The timer combined with mild frustration of the physics/controls felt like it was at odds with the calm theme - I rage quit twice.  :) That's a good sign for engagement though. :D  Maybe consider alternate win/progress conditions in future games, like here it could have just goes on to the next day of harvest and you can pick up where you left off - selling the produce and buying a bigger harvester for the next day's work. Really great music, too. Great work!

excellent run n' gun.
art has a very clear language, destructible buildings = neat touch, nicely balanced: I'm playing on a trackpad and still made it to the flying mode. Is there an end-state to it? Ran into some control issues where the guy would be going the wrong way when switching directions too quickly (arrow keys are also reversed: hard mode? :) ), but otherwise fantastic entry.

Thanks! If you don't mind the typing, I hope you check out the various guided meditation things, there's _so much content_. :)

Congratulations!!! This was my favorite game of the jam, excellent work!

Thanks! That was the first ending I wrote, so it is near and dear to my heart. Glad you enjoyed it!
