Nice job, glad to see it!

This is very exciting to see! We're glad you were able to create something so robust with what's available, and we hope to revisit our 1-bit assets soon along with some new offerings. Congratulations on what you've already put together, it looks great!

Just posting a bump to see if anyone could enlighten, we do find the pattern rather odd.

Thank you! There are some updates and new tilesets in mind, but nothing at the moment so we'd suggest to follow or check in periodically. If you have some ideas, please let us know!

Recently a game of ours started showing multiple downloads a day, but there have been no matching purchases.

We have been part of bundles in the past but they were quite some time ago (year or more), so it seems unlikely so many people suddenly discovered it in their library to download. And there has been no recent promotion that we are aware of.

There are some plausible reasons for this but would still like to know if anyone could offer some insight.

Occasionally during an itch-wide sale we will offer a bundle. But our assets are low priced so honestly it would be rare.

Hello, yes, you were correct and we apologize for the missing sprites. This is actually another alternate, sprite "hero2," and the assets have been added to the zip file. You can simply re-download the .zip that now includes these spritesheets.

Thank you! It's possible they may be bundled in a future sale and we understand the attraction of such sales, but no plans for now. We feel they are already low-priced for what is included.

We just released our latest tileset, the Dungeon Depths!

Rumblecade 8-Bit Dungeon Tileset

There's no shortage of dungeon assets here on itch, but we do love them so and are happy to be part of anyones library. The full tileset has a lot of options for variants built in, and even includes alternate palette versions. Also included are .tmx and .tsx files. We've tested it thoroughly in Tiled Map Editor and have included terrain brush setup. This tileset has tons of options and is one of our most dense offerings to date. Check out the screenshots and see some of the possibilities!

Stylistically and layout compatible with our previous 8-bit tilesets:

We just released our latest tileset, another blocky, pixel art, 8-bit style perfect for platformers:

Rumblecade 8-Bit Factory Floor Tileset

The full tileset has a lot of options for variants built in, and even includes alternate palette versions. Also included are .tmx and .tsx files. We've tested it thoroughly in Tiled Map Editor and the terrain brush makes quick layouts a breeze. Then comes the fun part, adding all the little details and objects that can be used in many different ways. Enjoy!

PS, stylistically and layout compatible with out previous 8-Bit Platformer Tileset: Rumblecade 8-Bit Platformer Tileset

I think we will be doing a factory-type interior next but that is a great idea for another set!

thanks and of course, mistakenly thought the link counted.

Small ask, but might there be a way to 2x the contextual menu? Text is tiny...

Hello, thank you for your support! Please see the latest devlog for this asset pack, a 4-frame run cycle for the astronaut is now included.

Aware it's a valid decision to concentrate your support, but I would like to add a desire for a MacOS version.

Excellent breakdown and technical use of limitations, looks fantastic.

Rockabilly Beatdown 1.5 (Desktop)

Hey there, hep cats! Rumblecade has just posted a major update for the desktop version of our mobile game, Rockabilly Beatdown. This is a casual beat-em-up, an "endless puncher," as we like to call it... survive as long as you can and punch and kick to your heart's content.  Check out the game page for more info and get punching!

NOTE 1: The update features are described in this devblog post.

NOTE 2: The desktop version includes ALL content from mobile and has NO in-app purchases.

No plans currently, although we won't rule it out. It's a pretty simple game and seems to fit more with itch.io, honestly we're not sure it would be received as well on Steam as it has been on mobile. But we're always happy to hear opinions from outside.

Thanks, much appreciated!

Rockabilly Beatdown (Desktop)

Heyo! Rumblecade is excited to offer a desktop version of our mobile game, Rockabilly Beatdown. This is a casual beat-em-up, an "endless puncher," if you will... see what kind of ridiculous score you can rack up as you punch and kick to your heart's content.  Check out the game page for more info and get punching!

NOTE: The game trailer seen here is for the mobile version, but the desktop version includes ALL content and has NO in-app purchases.
