Absolutely! Happy to add more resources on request. :) I need to update and clean up the list a bit anyway. On my checklist for the weekend!

Hi!
“Jams” are just sort of events that say, “hey everybody, come make stuff!”
Every jam has different rules and conditions. Some are “hey, come make video games about trains!” Others are more “hey, come write stories based on this series!”
This jam is open to all tabletop roleplaying game related entries that are irrevocably (forever) open licensed! The list of resources is for reference and convenience. People are encouraged to build on existing resources but all contributions to open gaming pool are welcomed.
Whether you release a final product, a playtest edition, a jam ashcan, or something else is entirely up to you! The same with any future updates or expansions. Entries link to the title’s Itch page. It is not a separate submission. Anything you update or change is done per normal for Itch. (For the record, just talking about how Itch jams work.)
Hope that clarifies! Let me know if you have any other questions.
The Bonus Challenge for this month is the #ValentineJam!
We’re jam-ceptioning around here. Every month or few weeks, I’ll post a game challenge. Seasonal themes, focused on underserved and under-explored niches and sub-genres. So let’s go for this month!
Valentine Jam Challenge Details
- Valentine Jam themes: Intimacy. Sex! Love! Romance! Small Quiet Moments! Lifetime Friends Sharing Secrets! All the intimacy!
- Challenges submitted must meet the normal Forever #OpenSourceJam criteria.
- Sex positive guidelines. Content containing queer, kink, and sex work themes is allowed. Exclusionary and hostile discriminatory content is not. Apply common sense.
- Titles containing glorification of sexual violence, gamification of non-consensual encounters, or similarly offensive content may be disqualified.
- A wide exploration of intimacy and love is welcomed! Create a polycule simulator to play out a lifetime. Make a journaling game about queer friendship. Invent an emotional horror game about sharing secrets in the face of certain death. Share a slice of life dating game about finding your one true love in a small town. The possibilities are endless!
- Games are welcome, but so is everything else welcome to the main jam! Share system-neutral oracles. Write some love-themed adventures. Create a romance sub-system for another other licensed system. Or even poetry, music, or anything else forever open and usable for TTRPGs!
EXTRA RESOURCES
NOTE: These are provided ad hoc and as-is as general guidance. They are not direct sources for the jam.
- The TTRPG Safety Toolkit is a modern classic and important resource with a lot of potential themes in this challenge jam.
- This is an excellent FAQ about the #IDoConsent movement and Consent Culture

Hi! Thank you so much to everyone who joined and everyone who created the listed resources!
I started tweeting out some promos for the first batch of entries over on Twitter under ThoughtPunks.
Really happy to see so many people join in so quickly with limited promo and was amazed how much was out there while I was compiling resources. Let’s create a massive pool of open content and tools for people to use! I’m so excited to see what else is added.
Thanks to everyone joining in!
I’m Rev, the creator of Motif. Feel free to ask me anything about it. I’m around to help answer any questions, provide a little guidance, or anything else you need in making your Motif creations!

Would also love to hear all of your ideas! What are you working on? What kind of concept do you have in mind?
