Doubtful that AI needs our code. Been here and done that. I think game jams are more about developing skills. Eventually, when AI runs everything, we'll have something to do. A lot of people crochet. We like to make games. Seriously, AI can't imagine, at least not yet. It is still copying and riffing on what already exists.

SFX are a newer skill for me, but I can manipulate, sample, pull from libraries, and create my own using FM synthesis.

Solid! I had to go back to the instructions one more time to remember all the commands, but I got the hang of it. Cute music and great job on the look of the game! Please give ours a try: https://datfrozencube.itch.io/risk-it-raccoon
Nice and simple! The risk factor is clear as soon as you finish a level and the game play difficulty was graded well. Check out our game if you have time - https://datfrozencube.itch.io/risk-it-raccoon
Simple and straightforward game play! See our game, too, if you can - https://datfrozencube.itch.io/risk-it-raccoon

Fun game that allows early success, beautiful graphics. I got stuck in the pool room - I didn't figure out what to do next. I couldn't step in the pool or leave the room. There are some walls I can walk through, but they don't allow me to do anything except walk around. Maybe a hint? Visit our game, please! https://itch.io/jam/rpg-maker-2025-game-jam/rate/3478831

Nice job on the game - that was a lot to pull together! It took a second to find all the controls, but I probably missed instructions at the beginning.
I hope you'll have a look at one or two games from this jam I helped with:

Ha! I like the simple mechanic - get through a maze of office furniture. I got jammed next to a file cabinet on the second level and no key got me unstuck, so I didn't play to the end to see what happens when I keep pushing the button.
Music, SFX and art work great together.
I hope you'll have a look at one or two games from this jam I helped with:
I’m listening to this: https://youtu.be/CjUM-jFZ4w0?si=LkCNnPordIJ2SzPk. Is this what you were thinking? Cinematic music is Lot of fun, If that’s the case

The game mechanics make it fun. The retro look and music fit well together!
I always like to test the intuitiveness of the controls and it took me a moment to realize I was supposed to click on attack, the heal button, or the item button, but once I figured out one, I knew what to do with the others.
Not all of the bosses attacked me back, so I was able to just hit attack several times in a row and take no damage.
I think the control that selects your attack power is a reference to the spin theme? Otherwise, I'm not sure what was spinning.
Try out our game, Star Contract - I did the music and some of the SFX. https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3218933
