its fun to see the designs people come up with, im a sucker for a good incremental game though and you killed it there

Played for endings 1 and 4. Ngl, i definitely got got by ending 1. Well done! Loved the little detail that the bones/dirt were in the same spot after leaving the grave

oh wow! That is a great catch and a complete oversight on my part! Makes total sense! Interestingly, that's the only platform that triggers the turrets in the entire game - i should've looked back at that and made it toggle a barrier like I do in later puzzles. I love when people catch this kind of thing you really only encounter with enough numbers of people testing :)

Hey thanks for the detailed feedback! I think its a very difficult line to walk between what needs to be explained vs figured out through problem solving! Perhaps i leaned too hard on the hand holding! Lessons learned for the next jam ;)

I'd love if you were willing to take the time and recreate the softlock and share a screenshot cause im scratching my head at figuring out how! I've seen a lot of crazy stuff in friends playtesting but haven't seen that! :P

Tons of fun! Echoing a different comment it took me some time to realize how to initially progress, but was neat to solve the game!

You say you wish you had more but the puzzles were really unique and the artsyle charming, great job!

Fun graphics but unfortunately found the controls a little difficult to use, very hard to time the jumps and would often end up jumping off the platforms immediately after landing. Great job though!

Cute! Most story-based games I don't often get to the end of, but stuck around for this one! Awesome take on the theme - great job :)

Great vibe! Ran out of lives riiight at the end unfortunately but fun solving the puzzles! Seems we had the same idea about turning to a spirit to solve puzzles that only the spirits can interact with! Great job!

Ambitious project with lovely art and style, however a number of issues amd bugs prevented me from continuing the game.

Love me a good incremental game, nice job!

AMAZING visuals! Loved the sound effect as they get thrown to the fire haha

Awesome result for a first game, keep it up!

Moral of the story: date someone rich. Cute and fun! :)

Short and sweet! I found myself squinting hard to try and see the arrows/pits rather than dying :P maybe a little against the spirit of the theme for me to do but it was an added challenge, haha.

Unfortunately I seem to get stuck after the interview portion, do I need to reload the game to try and get better answers to pass it?

Hey, beat the game and that was lots of fun! Seems we both had similar ideas of how to interpret the theme! Really unique puzzles and the art and music were both charming! Great job to both of you!

Thanks! Had a blast figuring out the puzzles, first time doing something like this

Quick and fun! Loved the music :)

Thanks! This was my interpretation as well, just wanted to make sure! (And hey - if not allowed, they're good placeholders)

I'm a little confused on the meaning of this rule:

You can use premade assets or assets you have the rights to use, but don't pre-make assets for the jam.

I have a previously abandonded personal project that has sprites for a character (idle/run in the cardinal directions) Is it safe to use those for this jam? They weren't created previously with the express purpose of using for this jam, just repurposing them.

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I agree! This was my first jam and wasn't really positive on what to expect, and it's funny I believe I simultaneously over scoped AND made a game that goes on too long, haha. Oh well, it's all learning for next time!

Conceptually neat, and unique! However, I had difficulty maintaining my attention watching 60 sheets of paper print consecutively :P Maybe could've benefitted from a skip option or to fast forward through that!

Thanks so much!!

Thank you!!

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I originally was going to explain it as a requirement to keep equilibrium -> Your kingdom gets too perfect? An abundance of food, wealth, and culture? Well, maybe the snakes think it's time for a hostile takeover... There was also going to be a "warning" system where you can end one day in the 90+ score, but a second day would end the run, but I found it unnecessary with how variable the loyalty score ends up over the course of a day.

Glad to have met the mark! :)

Thank you!!

Hey, I honestly completely agree! There was originally scoped a concept for more ways to shake up the gameplay, (high impact events, random events at the start of a day that will change your scores, etc.) but I sadly over scoped for what I was capable of. I agree, and my primary concern is that "this isn't fun" to me, it seems monotonous and boring, and that you can likely largely click any of the options without much thought, and still probably perform relatively well. There definitely needed/needs to be an effort taken to look at the balance of the game on a macro scale, because individually, events are balanced, unique and interesting, but it all mashes up into a bit of a slog

WOWWW first game with music that really really impressed me! My friend and I were jamming out while playing. Well done!

It seems we made a very similar games! Great minds think alike ;) Was fun! Maybe a more prominent visual indicator to tell you how your decisions will affect your scores, I had to play again to see what the changes would be before I made the decisions

Really fun! Was fun to have to time my throws properly and see how a bad toss badly messes everything up

Very cozy! Got overwhelming with all of the bits appearing after a while but had a chill time! :)

Had a good time playing! Tricky puzzles :) I liked the aspect that you can remove as your character goes, and that's part of the solution!

Fun! I really liked the atmosphere you crafted here

Fun! Thought for sure I'd caught a few times, but alas I am a master thief

It's a shame this is disqualified from ratings, but I thought this was a neat take on what many people had considered as the theme, and you gave it a good twist. As soon as I landed in the lava and the flying sequence occurred I smiled, it was fun!

Fun! Neat puzzle game that had me engaged, and shaking my head every time I missed an obvious piece lol. One small issue with audio spiking when the song loops, caused a bit of discomfort but otherwise, great job!

Really enjoyed the art! I felt that the movement was a little slow - and not sure if intentional or not... but I was able to just walk behind the arrow traps and avoid all obstacles the entire game :P

I'm sorry but the game was unable to load :( that or the loading takes a long time but isn't visually shown
