I'm pretty sure it's supposed to have an ending message, but you did clear it! Geez, I need to remake this game someday.

The game fits the music really well, I think. Somehow it's the exact vibes the gameplay exudes.

Adorable game! My only misgiving is that it's hard to track how many souls you have.

Neat concept and well executed!

It seems interesting; it could use some polish to add more juice–sound effects, particles, and the like.

Mesmerizing. It looks good without sacrificing gameplay, which itself is pretty unique.

Polished and fun! Some of the broken code were hard to see, but the error messages whenever I missed one is a nice detail.

Thanks! It feels odd to be complimented about something I didn't make, though–the song is Race to Mars by DOS88.

I was a part of last year's Boss Rush Jam, and I did quite well! My submission for that jam is still my most played game, so I hope I do well this time too, despite the increased competition.

(Oh wow, people still play this?)

It's automatic after you beat a boss, I think. It's been a while since I thought about this game.

:o thank you! It's always nice to hear constructive feedback. I don't usually work on games post-jam, but I feel motivated to do so now!

(Great minds think alike, as they say)

Ah, not again! Do the symbols above "READY" not accept the dice when you drag them? What browser do you use?

Huh, peculiar. Try using different browsers, I suppose; I can't update the game.

On the topic, what browser and OS are you using?

I'm sorry to hear that! Do the symbols above "READY" not accept the dice?

The sound effects were very last minute, so I'm happy to hear that! :)

If it feels too easy for the developer, it's just the right difficulty, as they say... I agree that the boss should have been clearer. Any idea how?

Ah, thanks for the kind words! Any suggestions for polish?

Ah, thanks for the kind words!

Ah, thanks! I, er, couldn't find a suitable sprite for a crate, and utterly failed to make my own. I'll try to make a post-jam update, when I gather enough courage to look at my code again. I appreciate the comment!

Thanks for the kind words! The chests, currently, have the chance to drop a sword when broken, but I may add more in the future. I'm glad you liked it!

None of the sprites are mine haha, it's all Kenney.

Oh, that's great! Thanks for the suggestion!

That sounds awesome, but a little too much for my little project...

Oh! I was worried that you were completely inexperienced, thank goodness that's not the case!

I suspect it may be too big in scope; online multiplayer, realistic graphics, simulating an environment... Have you published a game before? I noticed your Itch profile is pretty new.

Oh, the tool isn't about snakes! It's a virtual tabletop, for TTRPGs like D&D. Snakes were merely an example.

I've been working on a virtual tabletop, and I'm hoping to get it finished for this jam. It's mostly small tweaks I have to do, but it currently lacks a name. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the feedback! I tried to work it in, but I couldn't think of the proper keys to bind controls to.

press the handle! It could have been explained better, in retrospect. There is a tutorial, though.

alright, thanks for the clarification.

Interesting game! Perhaps add the controls in the description? (I don't know whether editing that is allowed, someone asked it on the community, I suppose you can wait for the answer.)

:o Heartbeast!

The submission form seems outdated-the rules state that a HTML5 format is fine, but that's absent in the form.

In addition, is the discord username required? I am also confused about the "Participation Level", and I would appreciate you clarifying.

Thanks!

The rules for this jam state that updating the game after the submission deadline is forbidden, as well as updating it during the judging period. However, can the game be updated after the results are announced?

Thanks for the help! I'll look into that.

Thanks! Although, in the browser, the FileDialog node doesn't allow opening user data; the proposal to solve this issue was from you, I think. Pixelorama, on the browser, opens the native file picker, rather than Godot's.

I think this program is wonderful, both as a pixel art editor and Godot project! Something I would like to ask, though, is how you implemented the file picker.

A keysmash would work wonderfully, in my opinion. Although it may be damaging for keyboards.

Keep on trying!
