I loved this game! It super addictive to see the mob growing, really smooth and nice effects. I almost have beaten all achievements, only the No Cops here( which I didn't understand, there are tiles with 4 cops already).
It was a fun, cozy game (except if you try to make points hahaha) that I could see myself playing more often it there was more achievements or new levels!

I really like the game! It felt too short, I hope you could extend it after the jam as you wrote on your description, with combat! That would be super amazing.
The music was on point, and the narration was good and original.
The ants & roaches were a bit frustrating because as soon as they were hitting each other were just stopping. At the end it was faster to mine resources with only a couple of bugs because at least they didn't need my attention hahaha
And the zoom mechanic was nice, but with these scenarios I really didn't use it. But it was pretty cool to see the effect done to give more RTS idea.
As other mentioned, the neutral's were confusing. At the end, no matter how good you are doing it, it seems a matter of time that you lose due to accumulating neutrals. It would have been nice to give them a way to be destroyed, maybe as normal tetris and getting a line of them to get them rid of?
I twist on the classic and the idea of the storm, even if sometimes I was getting a 4 line of either + or - and I was forced to put it horizontally to avoid the consequences hahaha
I like these card games, and it had a nice resource aspect of it. First turns were a bit difficult because I didn't know what to do, but later it got quite easy and I manage to beat hell, moving always some specials cards to the lands next to it as reinforcement.
The limit of cards was weird, because I assume they could go out of screen and I didn't see anything. Maybe adding some explicit limit would have been nice (and the possibility of your units to die or to discard them to properly manage your resources. For sure that would give another strategy touch)
And the whole time I was looking at the right History bar, with "No events yet". I beat the game and nothing really happened at all. Was that a future development or I got unlucky and no remarkable events happened to me? :'(
I would really enjoy some extension of this, it was really fun!
If eventually you wanna give it another try, on the level selection you can just skip one if you get stuck. (ideally the following levels are more difficult but I struggled a bit to define the difficulty).
Happy that you liked the music! I'm not the author, I wish! The author is Isaac Ebert( https://www.gamedevmarket.net/asset/8-bit-chiptune-puzzle-pack-2 )
Thanks for the honesty about the dash command! Initially I considered to just be always dashing by default, to avoid the extra key. But it was too chaotic and I choose to make it with the Z + direction. And even if myself I had to check the keyboard and it didn't feel too natural I thought "It's turn based, it should be fine". But it seems it wasn't hahaha
Super thanks for spending the time on the game and this proper feedback! I will try to do the same I when I play yours!
Yufff, I got addicted and I was not able to stop until i beat the 10th level.
Being honest, the first (visual) impression got me a little reluctant. But after the introductory levels the difficulty scales up and the gameplay gets super absorbing. The mechanic is super simple, and still, levels can be attempt in different ways. At the end I appreciated the minimalistic shapes, some levels I died so many times and I was sooo close to the screen of my laptop than my eyes appreciated not too many screen distractions hahaha
Level 9 was the most difficult for me. Level 10 I found a trick that worked for me and it was "easier" (On 9th maybe I died like 15 times? 20? I lost the counts)
A pitty the celebration screen was gone so quick, maybe I pressed a button by mistake or something. Did it say the amount of times died or the time? Because if not, that would be super cool to add the stats. I was playing the whole time thinking how many times I was dying.
It remind me a bit to game Ambidextro, where you also control 2 players with different keys throw a screen level (but with 3 actions each instead of only 1).
I loved this game. The rules were really well defined and clear (and still I didn't get them in the beginning). I enjoyed that is really balanced, were sometimes low number values matter a lot.
The game is simple in a positive way, and the pieces movement is super smooth.
My only complain is the feeling sometimes is a but difficult to predict anything. As the last piece on top, you have 2 chances and if you put yourselves on the situation on depending on yellow and got purples twice... that was your risk! (Also my lack of statistics skills doesn't help on it :P)
My best game:
Thanks a lot for playing it and spending time on the long reply!
And no, it was not only you. I also found it quite tedious & slow after the firsts days, but I realised last day and didn't want to make changes afraid of breaking my spaghetti code XD.
Yeah, in retrospective, a different mechanic to make the change quicker as either mouse or using arrows for select actions instead of moving the player would make everything much smoother. My focus went in other stuff that I didn't have experience(the rules mechanic and transition screens) and I didn't pay too much attention to other aspects that I made work on the first day, as the movement.
For future games I got that lesson learned for sure!
I really like the game even if I don't understand it (yet) completely. Still I don't understand how the animals decide their next step, sometimes I select a clearly better tile in front of them and they decide to go to another one. Maybe they make the decision based on the stats before you as player change the tile?
In any case it's a really refreshing different take of a strategy game, with a lot of potential to be extended as a proper longer game with levels and more effects. (And a tutorial please!)
For sure I'm gonna come back more often to play another round and learn a bit more. And I'm really interested to take a look to the source code to learn more how you build it!
I loved the game! Nice puzzle and super rewarding animations and sounds. And of course, being able to be told that I'm a Tetriverse master!
Some levels I had to play them multiple times to learn which peaces where part of the total set of the level. I got stuck a lot in level 8(And I have the feeling that I just got it right by trying a bit randomly) and a bit in level 9. Level 10 was much easier.
