With this much wood I can finally finish my house in Minecraft!

Thank you for a suggestion! Yeah, I come up with something almost identical. I made that head always turns to cursor not immediately, but gradually. At the first glance it's almost a perfect solution, but further playtesting is required

Thank God that I studied a little bit of Japanese in the past, so it was relatively easy for me. But I think that, from an educational stand point, this game will confuse a learner - to study hiragana, kanji and vocabulary at the same time. But that's a great surprise to encounter an educational game on a game jam. With a bit of polish and if lessons will alternate, it will be a solid game for learning an entry-level Japanese.

Thank you for a funny comparison :). Though I was not the only one who made the game, 'Chaster version' made the sounds, music and background - I wrote it in the main menu, but should have also did this on the game page, oh well. Also, I made sure that enemies shouldn't spawn on top of you - but I check it only for dragon's head :), whoops

That was an interesting adventure. With each lost carrot I cried, with each 3 hit combo thrown rabbit I laughed, with each successfully saved golden carrot I smiled. The pixel art is charming, the sounds are spot on. The only downside is - now I hate rabbits.

Great visuals and music. The idea and implementation are nice too. But this hallway broke me - the game became too punishing for my taste. Even though you past a couple of hard jumps, a sudden saw will cut you :(. It's the same exact reason I don't usually play precision platformers :). But maybe I just need to git gud

Such a concise and neat little package of good pixel art, relaxing music and theme of futile struggles in the face of the inevitable

Cool aesthetic - reminds me of Don't Starve, but cozy :). Mixing of 3D and 2D looks great, I can already see how the game can be expanded to become a relaxing city (or, rather, stump?) builder. My only complain is that there is a little to no delay between picking up a seed, and planting it

An interesting take on Vampire-like gameplay. Wish there was an upgrade to our weapon too - after level 2 it's not viable. Also I didn't understand what a Badass setting does, and what is the difference between different types of food. I love when developers include a Thank you at the end of the credits :)

Thank you! Glad you liked the main game design idea. I agree about the jittering around cursor - I don't know what to do about it either. Well, as for the gamepad it is solvable (just fly towards where you tilt your stick, circle around when you don't tilt), but a mouse on the other hand... Slow down when you almost approached a cursor? It is exploitable, as you will have more time to shoot at the enemy... :(. These things are hard to wrap your head around

Thank you for trying out the game! Good point about having no way to tell when the wave will end - a number of enemies remaining would really help. Sorry for troubles with difficulty - we didn't have time to playtest it properly :(. But if you want to see and try out the boss, you can do that via warp zone in the start menu, some says that it easier than waves)

Thank you! I'm pleased that our efforts for building an aesthetic were not in vain. I didn't thought about a mandatory tutorial - although if we will develop this prototype further, there should be fully fledged tutorial, rather than just a bunch of text :)

Thanks! You are right about split shot - however, I imagine that it's worth it from 3 shots and onwards. Additionally, it can be helpful to move and shoot at the different places, for example to avoid projectiles

I love cats! Cure graphics, cute music, cute cat - what else there is to desire?

Wow... Just... Wow. The gameplay is fun, sure, but the ATMOSPHERE. Man, thats on the whole other level. Gritty graphics and melancholic music (especially during building phase) creates such a hopeless mood of dying world. Unfortunately, I encountered a bug when the usual fence after destroying didn't disappear, but started infinitely play its animation, and it was not always clear where kudzu will grow. But other than that great work!

Glad you like it! Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to playtest and balance it properly, so it's a miracle that the difficulty is bearable (after submitting I feared that the game would be too easy :) ).

So polished, and the fact you made it on SteamDeck - wow! Personally I don't like TD, but this one is actually fun. On the first attempt I didn't realised that I can upgrade plants, and lost :)

The idea is charming, but the controls and physics are a bit funky

Wow, I love how branches are growing, and music is so relaxing. Free level, where you can watch the root growing in it all glory, is a nice touch. Although, I am not skilled enough to go past level 2, and growth parameters are not intuitive. IMHO a different gameplay would fit more nicely, not as demanding as the current one. (Cutting sound makes my ears bleed >_<)

Well, that was something... I like the gruesome atmosphere and rotatable track, but other than that there is not much else :(

I don't like Visual Novels, so this game was definitely not for me, but the graphics and overall atmosphere were good. Didn't understand what to do at all (I never participated in a tea ceremony), I thought that a long text explaining what to do was a joke, but it's not :(. Got stuck when a guy disappeared, and flower appeared.

Original idea. But can't really see what color is what, even though I am not color blinded. Also, as stated by the previous commentators, it's even harder to see without a full screen button. A play field is too cramped, and thats causes a mild claustrophobia

Nice implementation of the theme - simple and elegant. Some levels are genius, while the others just good. Dying time is too long. Got stuck on level 32 :(

Quite short but silly in a good way game. The whole playthrough was with a smile on my face, so this mean i liked it! ;)

Oh man oh man. Music and graphics are gorgeous! Quite a shame that gameplay does not have any challenge because of autoregen, but nonetheless fantastic work!

Thank you for your feedback! Almost every commentary says about lack of tutorial. That is my bad, gonna think about it next time. I didn't think about color blindness, but I understand that this is a big oversight, and I will also try not to repeat it in the future

Then i fell of the level i feeled the Stanley Parable vibe. It is unfortunate that gameplay is not ready, but i would imagine it roguelike style. At least graphics are good

Lovely artstyle and music, but a little bit repetitive gameplay. Pretty good game though!

Never played this type of games, but i liked it! Music in nice and graphics are gorgeous. Enemies are a little bit hard to see but its okay. Good game.

Haha, that is so much fun! Nice music, art, and gameplay. This could well have turned into a real game. My only complaint is that sometimes it is not clear when the tomato flew to the end. Other than that great work! (My record is 65 seconds :) )

A little bit too confusing for my brain. Also remembered me Dumb Ways To Die. Good job nonetheless!

My God! That is awesome! It is such a unique concept! And realization is wonderful! Music is catchy. Just 12/10

Yes, I definitely unconsciously picked up something from papers please. Glad you liked it :)

About the music and visual effects, I definitely agree, it would be worth trying on this in the future. Thank you for your feedback!

This graphics is great, the theme is well used, but the character control is a bit weird (too much inertia) and I couldn't get past the first key and barrel puzzle :(. But it is clear that the work has been done well! Good job

Thank you <3

I thought that the gameplay is too simple to spend time creating tutorial, but apparently I was wrong. Thank you for your feedback!
