Hey DDS! (dazzling duck studios!) Thank you for playing our game! I'm glad you liked the music. I tried to incorporate a variety of racing game music (Ridge Racer Type 4, F-Zero Outrun). I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as you did, and I appreciate the text you wrote to us.

Interesting game, I think the premise is interesting. I wasn't expecting to have to spam WASD to get the player up that was kind of funny. I will say, during the piano part the constant popping with the sound was unsatisfying when I would press on the keys on time( I wanted to hear the peace without it, it was so pretty : ( ). Also I wish there was a downloadable version, it's so small on my monitor!! I can see the passion from the project great job! I want to the team the best! I would love it if you guys could check our game out!
I'm not sure if it was a bug but everytime a new piece of dialog appeared the dialog box would open and close which for me made it very disorienting to read all of it. It didn't stay consistent instead it was like 0 - 0 - 0 (0 = open, - = closed). Another way of explaining it would be that the dialog box was blinking like eyes, every time new dialog would appear it would blink instead of staying open. Hopefully that explains it!
Interesting. I'm not sure what's going on. I like the art; that's my favorite part of this game. However, I think this game needs sound work. Possibly, more music would help. In the first part, I got tired of hearing the 30-second loop over and over when I was trying to figure out what to do. It is an interesting concept, though. I hope you continue this. The dialogue box kept closing, making it hard to read.
I love the art, it's very charming. I will say I'm not sure why at the beginning he needs to get 2 pieces of a ladder and climb it. I see that you've made this yourself. Great job! I can see that you put a lot of time into this. I wish there were more music, even for the short areas. The piano is interesting.... I think it sounds a little dry, maybe in a future version, have some reverb to help it fit the rain?
I also think that having more apartment doors might have helped. That might have helped the world building, and it would have made it seem less forced when Klara moved in.
Also, the combat could be a bit more refined; a tutorial of some sort would be helpful. On day two, I died to the monster multiple times, and I'm unsure what to do next. I ended up guarding, and I figured out the pattern.
After that 2nd day, the game froze on a loading screen. Either way, Cute little game! I see the love you put into it! I would love to get your feedback on our game! It's called "Monarch;Vertigo"! We would love some feedback. Thank you!
Hi everyone, my team and I are currently looking for an artist specializing in character design. We have a main concept and a plan for what we want to do we just need a character designer to help us envision it. This game is going to be a horror game visual novel. This will not be a typical RPG Maker game. It will be a visual novel strictly with puzzle solving and choice making. Please contact me via Discord if you would like to join: maximilianvalentino
Here's my current portfolio : https://www.maximilianvalentino.com/

Thank you! Glad you liked the music! I tried to put a lot of little hints in it to add to the lore. There's a heartbeat in the more natural-sounding songs and none in the more "robotic" sounding songs (there are also some more little things if you listen closely ;)). Like my teammate said we are planning to finish this at a later date! hopefully, We'll see you there!
This game is cool, I think it has some good aspects. I don't quite understand what's happening? It goes from talking about Jak to Joe? Then Joe dies? I'm not sure... interesting though. I think the story hops around too much personally. It also introduces new characters very fast and gets rid of characters very fast, it feels like the player missed an epilogue (to me at least). The loading at the start of the game is also quite slow. Hopefully, you can continue to work on this project and fix these things. I do like some of the art though it's neat. Most of these things are easy to fix also so hope to see more!
When I played the opening actually didn't work for me I thought it was a mistake so I skipped it (it was a white screen) so hopefully you can fix that soon. I know it says nothing about AI parameters in the rules. I am a composer and personally would prefer if games used music made by people rather than generative but that's the future (it's already in Unreal). Hope you understand why I feel the way I feel. Good luck with your project if you continue it.
I think it's the angle that's bothering me. I'm not used to moving like that on an isometric field. Again it might just be me because the horizontal and verticle directions feel strange to input with my keyboard. Possibly slowing down the movement speed could help with this?
It also could be a visual thing with the test area. I can't pinpoint what is bothering me but that's the best I can describe. I will say it is a VERY cool idea! Sorry, I don't mean any of this as negative just some helpful criticism. (sometimes in jams people take it to heart, I even have myself). I hope this helps!
I will say I fairly enjoyed this game. Nice concept that should be continued. The music is probably my favorite aspect. I will say the battle theme felt a little of to me personally.
Running with the horse is quite cool and makes me feel like Im in that world. The battles I didnt understand, to be fair I didnt read the instructions since i never do with turn based combat (I like to learn on my own throughout the game). They felt quite slow as well but that might account for me not reading Lol.
Either way good game, hope you continue with this.
