I really like the aesthetic and the sound design. The gameplay is great and the commentary is just the cherry on top.
Overall really fun, I have yet to complete this but I might try again on another day.
Played this for a solid 46 minutes, still haven't won yet.
I really like the visuals the environment, menu and art is just mwah. Music is banger as well my only dislike is the lack of a pseudo checkpoint other than that first bouncy explosion.
Overall Incredible art director wonderful music and fits the fodian theme quite well.
You're right, my response does come off a little disrespectful, likely due to poor word choice and I deeply apologize to the developer for my response.
With that in mind I would like to reinforce my main point of contention which was the controls, I get what you're talking about atheniann but usually acts of randomness happen in the environment rather then the character as often it becomes difficult to find the right kind of randomness that doesn't become uncomfortable to play with if it affects character controls. If you made the character walk faster and crouch/uncrouch faster that could improve to overall ergonomics of the main mechanic.
Opinion: A good fodian game should make the player believe that it was their fault and their sole reason for losing was their own intuition.
This is actually pretty fun, once I got it going, idk sometimes the game would start shaking violently when I swing and the performance drops dramatically overtime. I Like the aesthetic, I love the controls and the level is very interesting.
If the performance was better I would've played this longer but overall really great game you have here, good luck with the game jam :)
The aesthetic is great, its just funny as heck to me.
I find the controls buggy at times like I made it to the melon barrels and suddenly my character had no strength to pull himself back.
Overall I think the controls need work and the level needs to be longer. You don't have that ability to lose tons of progress from a mistake on the level so there's that aspect of a fodian game missed.
I feel as though the only redeeming aspect of this game is the title and thumbnail. What stops this game from being great is the movement, in general I think what makes something fun in a fodian aspect is not the lack of control on the player but how the character interacts with its environment instead.
Overall: Awful controls, mechanics need work and the aesthetic of the actual game also needs work
I played this for a solid 30 minutes and have only made it to the big planet.
I love the aesthetic and sound design, the controls and mechanics are great and well thought out. I feel as though the game is too unforgiving , the Lose all progress if you mess up is nuts. I don't like the gravity to planet mechanic either since you cant tell when the gravity can kick in. maybe a visual would help.
Overall Great Aesthetic, intuitive controls and follows the prompt pretty well.
Played this for about 30 minutes and made it to the moving platforms part.
I enjoyed the presentation of the game it is very nice and the thought that went into the controls and how it interacts with the environment. My only critique is that the controls feel too 1 to 100 a lot of the time and the fact that you're a ball and have barely any influence on stopping your momentum feels bad man.
Also the controls weren't clear initially I had to find out by trying a few things but your momentum on launch is dictated by the direction the ball is orientated and time you hold down mouse to launch yourself. Also you can access the unity command prompt by pressing " ` ".
Anyways the overall game is ok and best of luck with the game jam.
I've played this for about an hour and made it to the third section; I have yet to complete it because of the obstacles and that weird bug when hitting a slope.
Lovely atmosphere, nice controls, a few bugs but overall pretty good. If the developer could patch out the bugs then I think this would be very enjoyable although I don't think they get to change anything about the game right now.
Also if you press spacebar it plays the ending (I deserve this small victory).
