Hey everyone! This week has been such an amazing one for me that I wanted to share a quick update on how things are going with Dizzy Spell.

While the art has advanced considerably, even more progress has been made on the story. Although the whole game’s story is much larger, we had two of our team members, our writers going full time on the demo. When they come in with ideas that influence the story, the world and characters evolve right off the page, which is so fun to see!

We now have three artists working together who cover areas from pixel art to illustrations and concept art, so there’s more cohesion in the direction. One of my favorite parts of the week is seeing everyone’s styles mix into one fantastic, cute look.

For the demo, we’re introducing five main characters, each with a different role, and two or three enemy types. This is a good foundation we can add to as we progress.

In the meantime, our small audio team is now working on SFX, music and related polish. I’ll be sure to share another update when we’re wrapping those up!

Creating this game with you has been fun but also incredibly invigorating. There is so much more to come that I can’t wait to show you!

Here is a video of me trying to get some concept art for one of the main characters in the demo! Its not fully polished yet but thought it would be fun to share! Let us know your thoughts!

We are looking to build a community up for our upcoming 2D platformer game called Dizzy Spell! This game is inspired by our 4 year old daughter and her imagination! This game has great lore and it will be super fun! As of now we are pretty far into development and have a kickstarter campaign going right now for it as well! Can't wait to see you all there!

We are looking to add a few more people to our team! As of now we have a low budget. We are getting a kickstarter to help fund everything and everyone for their work! It's a 2d platformer we are working on. Email us at Lumixystudios@gmail.com if interested!

We are creating a 2D platformer that we feel will be very successful! We are looking for anyone that has 2D art skills or anything that would contribute! currently we are using Godot Engine to make this game. This game is in its early stages but with a team it shouldn't take to long to make! We have a discord server set up as well for it that we will all be collaborating in! After the game is finished we plan on keeping our team full time if it is something someone is interested in! We are also very open to new ideas for the game as well. Everything made in game by you, you will be able to add to your portfolio as well and gain more experience! We have been constantly looking for people who want to join our team. You can email us and we can discuss further details!

You can use it on any project you want! (personal or commercial) Just don't try to claim it. Give credit where credit is due in other words.

No one was supposed to catch that! hahahaha

Thank you! It means a lot coming from someone who understands the art of limitations. I've been finding it so interesting lately how even when we limit ourselves to a smaller canvas, we can still find ways to express something that our eyes can translate. So, I decided to have fun with that concept. I really appreciate the support!
