sorry this is a weird bug with the game's population that happens often. I should revisit it at somepoint just to make it playable but this probably wont be anytime soon

not really

cheers man

cheers glad you liked it

I may or may not have rushed it

thank you I stole it myself

unbelievably cursed, thank you

Nice use of theme and gameplay but it shines with the art most of all

is it that you cant move at all or are you just moving one direction until you hit a wall

Like the cutscenes also nice gameplay.

Nice game fits the theme well. liked the art style and music.  level 2 was difficult to figure out the new mechanic other than that nice game

yeah i wouldve tried to fix it but i didnt want to spend too long on my entry as i had a ton of uni work to do but good luck on the jam

I gave up on getting webGL to work which is a shame as I feel it makes the game less accessable to people but at least i got a game jam out this year

I was thinking about add those things but I just wanted to get this project out of the way so I can start some uni project but I might add those features and more in the future maybe some meat to the gameplay its just a tech demo right now.

Thank you glad you enjoyed my game. the waypoint system was meant to be in but I ditched it because I couldn't get it to line up right so i'm glad that improved the game experience.

Thx might give it a try on my next project

UI in unity is always kinda tricky but you  get used to it after a while although I still dont know how to set it up to work in different resolutions.

Gave your game a go and its hectic but pretty fun. Here's the link to mine if you want to give it a go https://itch.io/jam/miz-jam-1/rate/736647

Really fun although it gets really hectic after a while. feel like the spawn rates need to be lowered. overall good use of assets and fun to play.

Yeah I tried to make a functional minimap but i didnt know how to make it so it would actually truck the player before I ran out of time

Gave your's a go and it was pretty fun. Hope you enjoy mine https://itch.io/jam/miz-jam-1/rate/736647

Loving the game, good use of the assets and lighting

thx glad you liked it

I guess we both came up with the same idea then. liked the way movement feels

This plays out like a cheesy 80's horror film and I love it.

Nice game the art asset mixed with the dithering effect and the music really gave the game a creepy vibe

Shame about the bugged start button. From the way the octopus plays and the game in the screenshots it looks fun and used the sprites well.

Love this mixture of bullet hell and rhythm game. The art style really works well with the theme of the game and the game jam of a cassette tape rewinding.  some of the note placements are a bit off where some parts of the level you can't help but get hit by a note or times when you can just hug the top to avoid notes. also the rewind feature could use some warning. but overall good game

Good game, the level design is great. never had a moment where i didn't know what i needed to do. puzzles are challenging but over the top and the graphics are simple yet vibrant.

Thanks for playing, I didn't realise the resolution must have left it in its testing state so thanks for telling me.

Now I'm thinking about it, that button wasn't the best game design choice I could have made. Anyway thanks for playing.

Not why that would be happening the rewind should just change the direction of the platform while you hold space. maybe you're falling down the pit, the collisions are a bit off in places or it's just some weird bug.

Yeah i was having an issue with collisions all the way up until like 8 hrs before the deadline so I just had to bodge them a bit also why there wasn't much in gameplay variety. Glad you enjoyed it.

Nice game, I feel like it needs an in-game tutorial and for the early levels to be a bit more forgiving other than that its a nice little puzzle game that fits the theme well.

Fun idea, bullet hell works well with the theme and it also has a nice strategic element to it as where you place yourself can help survive longer.

Note:  The how to play menu doesn't display correct information about the game but i can't change it until after the game jam.

Controls: press Q and E to turn the sail

Yeah its Q and E while i was testing it forgot to change it. my bad

Overall a bit too reliant on rng but its a good idea for a game

Nice game, Its like katamari meets the Grey goo apocalypse
