Ah, I see, "Don't advance left" means you are forced to go left, likewise for "Don't advance right", you are forced to go right. You're not obligated to move when the command line's rule changes, so if you are given "Don't advance right" but you can't move right due to there being no node there, you're supposed to stay still  and defend yourself while waiting for the command line to give you a new rule.

And for the clearing the level right after respawning, that is indeed a bug! I checked it out myself and have fixed it already, but I'll only be able to update the game after voting ends.

If you find any more bugs, or have other concerns or suggestions, let me know! I really appreciate anyone taking the time to comment these things.

Hello!

If you're referring to the "Connections Sector" (a.k.a the minigame where you have to infect the nodes and defend yourself from antiviruses), you have to do the opposite of what the command line says, meaning if it tells you to "proceed/move" in a certain direction, you cannot move in that direction at all. If it tells you to "not advance" in a certain direction on the other hand, you are only permitted to move in that direction.

If it is legitimately buggy, I'm willing to fix it if you would like to provide more details! (e.g. What did you mean by 'if you fail enough times you complete the level'?)

Thanks for commenting!

Good work!  Would definitely love to see a finished version.

The art is stunning! The gameplay feels really smooth and enjoyable, and is a really cool take on the theme. Would definitely love to check out a full version!

Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for taking the time to play!

Thanks for your feedback! I just updated the game to include skippable dialogue.

Thank you for your kind words! Likewise, your game is fantastic and really well-made!

Despite it being short, I love the concept! the "System Failure" messages are simple but funny. Would love to see more levels, good job!

A simple yet interesting and well-executed concept! I'd love to see more levels get added.

Thanks for checking our game out! We definitely would have added more mechanics into each level if we had more time. Love your game's art style and dialogue by the way!

Such a cool take on the theme! Big fan of the art, although the sudden change in its style is a little bit jarring at times (during the interactive minigames), still beautiful nonetheless. Is this perhaps inspired by the idiom "canary in the coal mine"? 👀

The dialogue and story is really well-written! It's a really creative take on the theme.

Love the art and mechanics!

Really well-made and polished! Very addicting to play, would love to see more lore and upgrades implemented.

Always love to see puzzle games, this is a really creative take on the game jam theme :)

Really well-made! The gameplay feels really smooth.

Interesting game! Would love to see a more polished version in the future.

Love your game's twist mechanic for the game jam theme! Very creative :)

Love the different mechanics for each segment! Saving progress for each minigame finished would be nice, though it's still fun nonetheless.

We appreciate the comment! Love the slingshot mechanic in your game :)
