Thanks so much! I've been thinking about the engine for over 7 years at this point. It uses ray casting and signed distance fields, like Media Molecule's Dreams, instead of Mesh's/Triangles for 3d assets.

Oh I get it now! I was just throwing the chairs around the room haha. I like how in later levels not every chair has a place mat and you have to run around and find them. Nice looking jam, top marks

Thanks for giving it a try! Move like a fly, spin the frog in circles, keep wasd always moving, never go in a straight line and "juggle" the fly. You can reliably get all the frogs into the middle easily once you vibe it out. The chaotic dance between the fly and frog and figuring out how to move is the center point of the game and what I hoped people would find fun in!

A unique pixelated style I've never seen before, looks absolutely gorgeous, but I admit I really have no clue how I'm supposed to get tips, would love to try again if you can help me out

This is actually brilliant, it fits the theme perfectly, the motorcycle's physics is predicable enough to feel fair. I had a lot of fun with this game, nice job!

I made if to the fat mans mouth! I agree with SlTheelurker, this reminded me so much of Toy Story 2 when the fat guy was asleep with a bowl of Cheetos haha, I like the lighting!, nice job on the jam!

I like how you just wake up the monsters and watch them do the fighting, turning off the lights for them to go back to sleep is another cute touch. I like the pixel artwork as well, nice job on the jam!

I like all the different powers that are useful at different ranges, it ramps up, get's difficult and the music goes bonkers haha, nice job!!

Good looking game and the car moves smoothly, the gun didn't seem to be working for me, but it looks very polished!

Thanks! If you want to try adding more assets to the level hit "space" it opens up the asset menu. you can even paint your own 3d assets.

by:

1. Press Space to open up assets

2. Create new galaxy ( a brown cube to start)

3.  left click your new galaxy to place it in the scene

4. press tab to open up tools

5. select the paint brush icon on the left.

6. Select your galaxy (3d object)

7. Select you paint brush at the top to start painting

A lot now that I type it out, I'll have to improve the flow, but it's pretty straight forward once you see. I just typed this out in case you our anyone else is curious, I just appreciate you taking a look to begin with :)

This is so sweet! I'm stoked you looked through the engine. The scripting system isn't quite ready yet, it's functional, but not ready for a game yet, so all the logic included the health is compiled in c++. I'm glad you enjoyed looking underneath the hood though! :D. Love your game too!!

How the paintings are drawn and the 3d models swipe in is something different I've never need before, it's a cool idea and I can see a lot of different ways the concept could be developed. Perhaps a focus on branching paths, perhaps creating and destroying paintings to reveal different parts of the world for puzzles. Creative idea, nice job on the jam

It would be neat if shaking the scarecrow scared away the crows and stuff, nice artwork, great job on the game!

I actually really got into this haha, the grapple animation is super cute and it's fun to keep juggling on top of the kraken's head. Nice job, especially for five hours of work time!

Oh I forgot to test with a controller, but my engine maps most of the inputs so it should be fine, pleasantly surprised you were able to use one haha. And I'm happy you had a good time!

I like all the different glow plant life, the atmosphere and the cute little slimes,  especially seeing as it's you're first game jam, nice job!

I was a bit unnerved when the projectiles turned out to be large platforms haha, I like where the game goes! One suggestion, maybe despawn the platforms base on the number up rather than time? there were a couple tricky platforming bits where the platform despawned underneath me. Great job!

The art and music make be feel so nostalgic,  I got a bit stuck, I think was supposed to be able to climb the corn? but the mouse wouldn't grab on. Would love to try again if you have a suggestion about what I might be doing wrong

The skeleton looks really good, the castles looks really good, the fire the torches.. just wish there was more to do in the castle :)

I really like the writing, the dark twist, the cartoony vibe. In the best way, I wanted it to go on longer!

I was a little confused as to how to build certain characters. The portraits are absolutely beautiful  and I really like the idea, would be interested in seeing how this idea could develop.

Well polished, the mechanics are thought well, I the physics adds a little bit of randomness, but it's still in control and feels fair, nice job, it's a really well made game :)

The fox's pathfinding is so good, I kept thinking, "it'll take him a while to get me here" but he'd find his way. Really cute game, nice job!

Beat it! That was a really enjoyable speed running game and the whole "rolls reversed" gag caught me off guard and gave me a chuckle

I saved the forest :), Nice artwork, I really dig the vibe!

This game is hard haha, but I got the barbarian! Good job on the game!

I like how you walled off the crossbow with a dash, good game design, I would have missed it otherwise. Nice shooting as well, good job!!

Glad you had a good time!

Thanks, I like your game as well :)

The art and the music are absolutely terrific, the lighting, the alien the ambient piano, I really like the world you made!

Once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed using wind and gravity instead of directly controlling the character, was able to make it to the autumn level. Nice Job!!

Looks ambitious, It opens and I can start running around for a couple seconds, but then it crashes :/

The artwork is beautiful, it's cute how the buff sheep have to protect the derp doggo, the gameplay is good too, just need more of it! Well done!!

Woah our games are so similar, love it man, I felt's dad's love and pride as I caught those humans.

Oregon Trail is one of the first games I played as a kid, it was fun playing from the other perspective haha, nice job!

Frog game! This is a really interesting take on matching games, I feel like there's a lot of room for puzzles and levels in the mechanics! Nice artwork too!

I was not expecting it to be so brutal haha, fun game! it really had me laughing!

I appreciate it! the engine  can be opened by pressing "x" on the title screen, if you then press "space" you'll see assets can can be dropped into the game. Great job or your game as well!!!

Thanks so much! This is the first game I've made in the game engine I built over the past several years. It means a lot just having someone look at it :)
