I just saw this and have a big stupid grin on my face. I absolutely cannot wait to watch this and see your reaction. Thanks for taking the time to react and post - this means more than you know <3.

For the 8 of yall remaining, the jam host asked me for a linux version, so just wanted to give ya'll a headsup that you will likely need to include this in your submissions too. Have fun yall!

That was a nice little walk! I thought the delay would be frustrating, but designing a game around figuring out and gaming that system felt nice. For a 1 hour game jam, this is really well done. Great job!

Are you able to download Love2D? If so, I can send you the Love file directly and you can play right in engine.

Love2D is free to download and is compatible with Linux! Once I get home, I’ll add the Love file to the itch page as well.

Aw thanks! I’m glad you had fun, and you scored the rank that’s named after the game! Now that’s special =]

Thanks for playing!

never played but I will certainly check it out!

done deal!

Do a barrel roll!
Right clicking over and over makes me feel like Sonic in space. Pretty fun overall, some minors things here and there like the background warping when we dodge roll or enemies being killed offscreen with bullets before appearing in my view. Also not sure what upgrading does, but I got over 1000 points so I'm the best.

This game is cool! I love the idea of how it works, but it's a bit too slow overall in the beginning and I feel there are some fixes that can really make it shine! For example, I personally don't think the FOV is needed, as I had it at max the whole time - find a level that works for your game and keep it at that so you can remove the FOV and reduce clutter.
I would love an emergency stop button, i found myself fighting the controls to get where I needed to go, and since debris sold for so little, by the time I had enough funds to upgrade and keep exploring, I felt I had seen what the game had to offer. Making us a bit faster, starting us with a basic 3 slot storage instead of having to buy it and tinkering with the UI controls will help here!
Overall, a cool little game!

Love the atmosphere and the vibes here, the voice acting and the faces are a nice touch as well! One of my astronauts got stuck and couldnt be moved near the hull integrity area, other than that, this is cool game base!

I never knew Lego mini-figures could fly so well.
Would like to see an endless version of this, well done!

Space Flight Recruiter: So, what makes you qualified for this job?
Me: ROCK. SMASH.

The fact that you solved the problem of deforestation is truly magnificent. These trees grow faster than I can clear them! Interesting little game, would love to see this expanded upon!

Played and here is what I noticed =]
- Fun lighthearted tutorial
- The turrets I placed near the start weren't able to hit the enemies so they just ganged up on me =[
- Not sure if this was user error, but while learning and after resetting a couple times, the enemy spawner just broke and no enemies came. Re-extracting the zip file fixed it.
-Music is bussin

now thats a pretty nifty deal

if you look at the floor before heading into the room with the 3 paths, there is a specific pattern you need to follow to get through :)

Great catch! Thanks so much for discovering this glaring oversight. I have updated the itch page with a new version so that future players don't run into this same problem. I can adjust the hitboxes after the jam period is over =]

Thanks again!

I gave it a good plungeon and I had fungeon!

Hello beautiful people! My name is Michael and I love to design games. Recently, I've dedicated time to the hobby of board game design, getting involved in the world of playing, designing, pitching, and signing tabletop games. Over these past years,  I've had my share of successes, failures, missed opportunities and seized moments, and now I'm ready to try something different. I plan to release my smaller board and card games as digital Print and Play files exclusively here on itch.io in hopes to spread the hobby of board game design, and hopefully some great experiences, to all of you.

So what do I need feedback on? Well, this is my first month on itch and I want to start building good habits early with my releases. I've broken it down into a few categories. Please don't feel like you need to address every point here, I just want to paint with a large brush to ensure my request for feedback is explained thoroughly. These questions are specifically about the print and play game I just published called Bizarre Bazaar, however if you have experience with print and play products in general, your feedback will be invaluable to me! Here are the categories I am most interested in starting a discussion around:

Presentation on Itch
Is is clear this is a PHYSICAL game that you need to print and cut out?
Is the current layout enticing and captivating?
Enjoyment of Game
Did you enjoy playing the game that is being offered?
Would you consider playing more games in this style?
Was putting in the work to cut and sleeve the game worth it?
Free Download with Donation Extra's Model
What are your opinions on the free game model with a donation based system for extras?

Thanks for taking the time to read through everything!, I look forward to hearing from and getting to know this community!

of course, and thanks for your kind words. I appreciate it more than you know!

thanks for your time and the comment <3 be well and keep smiling!

damn I need to do my girl up with one of these

YOU are a stellar spirit <3

Holy Duke! What a POWERFUL card. Consistently got 99 power towards the later levels. Fun game, really good artwork, excited for more. Could use some more balance!

10/10 this game is actively curing my seasonal depression

sticky bandit can stick to the walls!
10/10 would touch the shadow crystal and destroy all of humanity again
got stuck in the pit level cause i couldn't get the timing of the jump down with the world switch. overall, cool project!

I’m not an artist by any means but I recently just discovered Bitsy and it has an 8x8 pixel art editor where you have to make your own assets. I figured this would be a great opportunity to make a small little game within that engine.

would this be acceptable? I don’t want to submit if it’s not in the spirit of the jam, even though I can assure you the pixel art will probably be bad haha

toasty did a let’s play last night on stream, you should be able to find your missing coin! I suspect it might be the one at the Church after you do the fire puzzle - thanks so much for your comment!

after that, a new villager will appear who will help with the axe 🙂

I am also interested in knowing this jam's rules on not only AI for code, but for art or other resources as well.

Thanks for taking the time to play my game, I appreciate you taking the time to comment as well! Oh that's interesting about the always dash option as it seems to be working for me - did you by chance

[EARLY GAME SPOILER]

unlock the ability to dash by helping Samael, the first villager in the house to the right once you enter Revenir? It might be easy to miss - an item appears on his dresser after you help him.

Hope this helps and thanks again!

5/5 stars in every category - this game was insane. Kudos on making all of this in just 9 days!
I don't know if you purposefully foreshadowed the ending, but by day 3 i knew what was up!
I predict this will be in the top 3 - you should be really proud of the work you've done here!

A solid submission for a game jam game - I like the overall pacing of the story and the twist ending as well as all the setup and pay offs throughout the story! My biggest pet peeve was that many choices were not actually choices at all: I was simply choosing if i was continuing the story or ending the story early. If you plan to work on this after the jam, I would look into branching paths and perhaps different story outcomes to flesh out the narrative. Congrats on getting your game finished and submitted!

I played this little handheld so much I broke it. My quest of getting 60 gems for the 60 game jam entries has failed. Its okay, ill just buy another pocket lcd and try again.
Really well done - a breath of creative fresh air!

- got mauled by a seemingly immortal bear
- saw some pretty hazelnuts
- discovered my right to bear arms
- proceeded to yeet myself into the night

Only thing I would adjust is that the the encounter with "???" had no tension and i kept using the same skill over and over since ??? couldn't hurt me. Congrats on getting this made and submitted!

Lunchtime!~ One of the best games I've played of this jam so far - the art, the moving lips, the creepy project, all if it is really well done. The game ended rather suddenly for me and I still have questions about her projects, why she does them, and what it all means. I would love to see you finish the stuff that was cut for time in a later version. Very well done!!

That mannequin sure was strange! The reveal near the end of the game was cool, as until then i was wondering what was going on and I think you nailed that unsettling tone. A short impactful game with a meaningful message - really well done here!
