Hello beautiful people! My name is Michael and I love to design games. Recently, I've dedicated time to the hobby of board game design, getting involved in the world of playing, designing, pitching, and signing tabletop games. Over these past years, I've had my share of successes, failures, missed opportunities and seized moments, and now I'm ready to try something different. I plan to release my smaller board and card games as digital Print and Play files exclusively here on itch.io in hopes to spread the hobby of board game design, and hopefully some great experiences, to all of you.
So what do I need feedback on? Well, this is my first month on itch and I want to start building good habits early with my releases. I've broken it down into a few categories. Please don't feel like you need to address every point here, I just want to paint with a large brush to ensure my request for feedback is explained thoroughly. These questions are specifically about the print and play game I just published called Bizarre Bazaar, however if you have experience with print and play products in general, your feedback will be invaluable to me! Here are the categories I am most interested in starting a discussion around:
Presentation on Itch
Is is clear this is a PHYSICAL game that you need to print and cut out?
Is the current layout enticing and captivating?
Enjoyment of Game
Did you enjoy playing the game that is being offered?
Would you consider playing more games in this style?
Was putting in the work to cut and sleeve the game worth it?
Free Download with Donation Extra's Model
What are your opinions on the free game model with a donation based system for extras?
Thanks for taking the time to read through everything!, I look forward to hearing from and getting to know this community!
