you can exclude game tags one by one, for example to see  Adult Games, but not LGBT, try this URL:
https://itch.io/games/tag-adult?exclude=tg.lgbt

Open this URL in order to exclude all Horror games: https://itch.io/games?exclude=tg.horror

Unfortuantley there are no tags to exclude games containig spiders or many holes :(

it is worth to be concerned, this unpleasant situations seems to happen a lot with new uploads and we’re tired! Even if the page is public and indexing is enabled, it can still take anywhere from a few hours to “who knows when” before a game actually appears in search. Itch.io doesn’t really show any progress or notification for indexing, so it can feel like it’s broken when it’s just waiting in the queue. Usually the page is still accessible through a direct link while that process is happening. If it’s been a couple of weeks with no change, then it might be worth contacting support.

I fully agree that this would actually help organize things here. If a game is marked NSFW but still has donations enabled, it kinda blurs the line between free content and monetized content. Disabling donations on those pages for a while could make it easier to separate them and speed up re-indexing. It’s not perfect by a long shot, but it would probably make the rules clearer and reduce some of the confusion we’re dealing with.
Total Freedom for all the Free Games!

I agree that itch.io should build another site specifically for adult games. That’s one solid way to put an end to the constant chaos that comes with the site shadow-banning adult games that break their so-called Terms and Service. It sounds like a win-win situation for the site and the adult game developers.

I agree, ever since an update in 2025, Adult games have been silently shadow banned and censored on itchi.io or “deindexex” leaving their developers in the dark and afraid. It’s almost as if they’re attempting to hide any and every evidence of adult-game smut from public eyes.

Honestly, I think most people just don’t really care that much. It’s kind of a niche for a specific audience, and if these games keep getting made, it’s because someone is supporting them. The internet is a place where even the weirdest and most extreme fantasies find their crowd. That doesn’t mean “everyone thinks this way,” it’s just that the most shocking stuff gets more attention.

Plus, 18+ topics are awkward to talk about, so people don’t really want to argue publicly. Some are afraid of backlash, others just say “it’s fantasy, chill.”

If you’re an adult game developer on itch.io then you know that you can’t advertise adult games through the posts because of censorship on steroids. Would the right NSFW label and a thumbnail blur give adult gamers more creative freedom? I think it would.

Hi, please help us with an unsolved problem.

When we load your Succum Brewery game, an error appears and the game does not work anymore.

But everything works fine on this site - https://porngameshub.com/succum-brewery .

Can you help us solve this problem?
