True, but I am mostly talking about the source code. The last few hours of work were just me trying to patch everything together. It's a miracle that it works :D. 

Yeah, I also learned that just because I know exactly how long the flashlight last, how long it takes to recharge, and how many hits the player can take doesn't mean that everyone else does too.

I am glad you enjoyed it! I agree with everything you said and that's actually what I wanted the game to include at first, but I quickly realized that I underestimated the amount of work  required ( for someone at my level of experience at least).  I will probably make an updated post jam version just to see the game reach some of its potential. In fact,  if I had the time I would be working on it right now!

Well maybe Melvin just wants to go to sleep and doesn't want to hurt anybody :P

I really liked the sun ray point of view when you step into the sunlight. The game in its current state is somewhat primitive but has potential and the its kind of funny.

I tried playing the windows version, but the screen is cut off for me. So I can't beat the level with the two platforms, right after the level with fire, or at least I think the level has two platforms only because I can't see if there is anything else including the goal. Looks interesting though: the water effects and font look great. 

Yeah, that makes sense as I actually got used to it after playing for a while. You probably heard it dozens of times and it just sounds natural to you. Until pointed out that is. Reminds me of the Wilhelm scream :)

Interesting, but I am having some trouble playing the game as some objects seem to be invisible. I managed to open the door, but I can't really go anywhere. Are there more things to do? 

Great Atmosphere and use of positional audio. Solving the second puzzle (the one with numbers) was kind of annoying as my movement input would would be registered along with the numbers. After a few tries I managed to solve both puzzles and escape. Its very easy to walk right by the monster, and I didn't find much use for the flashlight. Still it was really fun and trying to solve puzzles under pressure is definitely a unique and fun experience.

I don't have much to add to the great comments already posted to this wonderful game. What I can say though is that never before have I been spawn camped in a single-player game. It was a pretty enjoyable tbh.

I am stuck here near the beginning of the game after you get the weapon. I can't make either jump. Did I miss something?

This is a really good test of patience :P Would be better if the music didn't restart every level.

Overall its a great game, perfect for the theme. I have a few minor issues with it though. Often, I would make a shadow that quite accurately represents the required logo, but the game wouldn't recognize it. I'd have to spend a good amount of time playing with the rotations to get it right sometimes I would have to rotate it 180 degrees on an axis to get the 'right' logo(which was identical to the one I got  before). I got the downloadable version and the game was cut off on the bottom and right sides in windowed and full screen mode. It didn't affect gameplay though.

I would recommend you uncheck the option "Automatically start on page load" on the game's itch.io page as the game starts loading when you open the page and takes a lot of resources.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm definitely missing some things including a round counter. I thought about implementing some GUI like ammo count and flashlight battery, but in the end I chose not to as it felt kind of out of place for a 'spooky' game( time and laziness probably also played a role). But now that i think about it I probably should have made the flashlight brightness change based on charge left.

That was simply amazing. I really enjoyed it. It took me a while to get used to the multiple systems, but near the middle it clicked with me. In fact, on my second play through I practically flew through the game as I was used to the mechanics( that and I probably knew how to solve each level). I particularly enjoyed quickly switching light bulbs while jumping; managed to cheese a level with it.  Music is great, the death sound effect was kind of out of place but it grew on me too.

I just played it without any errors.
