Hi Bit Bet

Thanks for your submission to the we&we Character Sheet for Life design jam. Your business card is simple and practical, and clearly described in your comment on this page. Here is some feedback: I would like to see the wonderful explanation you wrote (on this page) in the submission PDF on page 1, a set of cards (8 per page) on page 2, with the backs (optional) on page 3. That would be awesome and helpful. There could be one more line for the goal section. What do you think?

When you are ready... please post about your entry, this jam, and/or we&we on social media to qualify as a winning submission! I will be in touch via Bluesky to gather your shipping information at the end of the jam.

we&we is a real-life quest about connecting with yourself and sharing happiness.

What began as a father’s effort to share a wealth of secular guidance with his son became a truly transformative experience.
This zine invites everyone to treat life as a massive, collaborative game toward awareness, improvement, and purpose.

Maybe you or someone you know needs this. It's free and made with love.

We will seek funding in February's Zine Quest on Kickstarter for a physical print run.

the world is full of kind words

This is a kind game. I've been looking for a game like this for a while now. Its a little too overwhelming  for me now,  but I hope to play this soon. Thank you for making and sharing this! p.s. I love how Powers work, and the layout is absolutely gorgeous. detaia

The content is really interesting and I would like to think about my life with this.
Maehara Naomi

I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the Quick Start Rules for We & We, and I want to express my sincere admiration for this project. What you've created is more than just a game; it is a thoughtful, profound, and urgently needed framework for conscious living. Your approach to gamifying self-improvement and ethics, where the goal is to ascend by becoming happier and sharing that happiness, will undoubtedly help many people live more fulfilling lives and build better relationships.” Ben LeBron “This is a nice self-help and self reflection book with a good activity structure. I think the simple actions are helpful to the reader.
Hiew Chok Sien

we&we is an interesting, innovative, cooly experimental project! I’m sure many will find the open, compassionate spirit behind it inspiring.
Chris W Gladden

I think it's a great idea, and I can definitely see how it would reframe certain tasks in a positive way.
Rory Muldoon

I have been sitting with We & We a bit more, and something keeps coming up for me. I can really see this being useful for families too. It gives people a way to talk about feelings and choices without it becoming too heavy or clinical. … It feels like a reflective tool, a simple daily practice, and something people could use together.
Fiona McIntosh

This looks like a really good plan for anybody who enjoys a gamified approach.
Fred Carruth

I was completely surprised by it but loved what I read. I like the gamification of life/tracking goals/ growth etc. It's definitely a great tool for personal reflection.
Megumi Nishikura

We&We is beautiful Charles, I've been reading it and it's a lovely concept.
Charles Roe

I’m gonna start when Christmas break starts but I would LOVE to play this with my students!!
Simon Roy

I really like the concept, and it’s absolutely much needed in the world as it is today. The quality of the prose is wonderful. The content is well thought out and very comprehensive. You’ve clearly spent a very long time creating it.
James Hoyle

This should be required reading for any content creator.

I've been waiting for a comment like yours for a long time, as well. Thank you.
I made this for you, for us, for everyone. I hope you get to a good place and can play it joyfully!

All the best, Charlie.

Done. Its here https://ex1st.itch.io/we cheers!

Cool. Thank you. I will make a blank, low-ink progress sheet today.

There is an error in the opening post/contest description.

2024?
It shows up more than once.

My son (and all the children of the world). I mention this on the back page.

Thank you for letting me know.

There is a facebook group for we&we, and I will set up a Discord later.

Thanks for the comment. You are my kind of gamer!

Hehehe. Nope.

Thank you. The zine I submitted is a game set in the real world... home to everyone on it

How do I find out about the next Sunday Zine Club?

Sunday Zine Club #17 community · Created a new topic Oops

I just about finished making a zine in 3 weeks, but I started before this jam started. Can I still join?

By the way, we now have a facebook group if you are ok using that platform. The link is in the we&we itch page description. Just me there at the moment - lol

Thank you so much for letting me know. I made the PDF of the zine freely available. It is still in development, so you still have time to participate and help make it great. I update the file regularly. Also, we now have a facebook group if you are ok using that platform. The link is in the we&we itch page description. Just me there at the moment - lol

Probably not. But I hope my game helps you find happiness.

How good is its 3D open world? It is really good at this. The game is played on Earth.
Multiplayer? Yes, we are all in this game.

Hi Penny

Thank you for submitting to the 2nd CoinSides Adventure Sparks Jam. Your entry was one of the 5 Gold Winners. Please contact me to arrange your prize.  Congratulations. I'm sorry it took so long to reach out to you.

O buscame on Twitter @ex1stgames. Ya te sigo.

Gracias. Tienes un DISCORD para poder charlar? No hay sistema de mensajenes en Itch.

Ha ha ha, this is great. Please save this for the next CoinSides Adventure Sparks Jam.

¿Los certificados son autoconcedidos?

SHAZAM!!

Lovely idea. Gonna try this with my students :D

Congratulations on releasing your game. The illustration on the cover looks cute.  The game is quite different from the cover. I want to be the ruler of the universe, of course, but I would be all alone : ( What happens next? Keep making games the way you want to make them. I'm impressed!

Wow - Thank you so much. Please share it here and there ( and add me @ex1stgames ). Much appreciated.

And... I want to make one a week. Got any requests?

If you want to, copy and paste the English text for your game, then delete the comment. I just cleaned it up a bit. No 'shit' in this text ;D

:::

Three Colors is a silly simple dexterity game for two people. Only 9 cards are required. You can print the cards we designed or use any standard playing card deck. In this game, you and your partner will be playing against each other trying to be the fastest.

This is mostly a kid's game, but can be played and enjoyed by anyone. It can make a really good drinking game.

The files attached don't include a “low ink” version because instead of printing the cards designed, you can pick a standard playing card deck and pick the following nine cards: 2 cards with the number 2, 3 with the number 3, and 4 with the number 4. And that's it, you can enjoy the game pretty much the same.

BTW, there are two rulebook files, one in English and the other one in Spanish.

Well deserved! I think I will use the criteria to have more winners next time. 1 for the overall winner, 1 for each category, and between 1-3 selected by the judges (but one that was not already in the winning). That might be fun and fair.

I have reached out to all the participants. Please check your email / twitter / itch. I need you to get in touch with me via email here yokubosan@gmail.com, thanks.

Congratulations. Please reach out to me via email.

Thank you. I've made that part of the post simpler.
Gold Winners get a CoinSides and an offer ($100).
Silver Winners get an offer (CoinSides).
I would love to include everyone in the library.

It would, probably. I can't see an easy way around it.

Thank you for commenting on every entry. Would you be interested in being the judge for next year's CoinSides Jam?

Esteemed friends, writers, and roleplayers

THANK YOU for participating in this year's jam. The variety and quality of the submissions never ceases to amaze me. It's been a pleasure to read each Spark and imagine the adventures held within. I'm excited to grow this niche of coin-related modular content for everyone to enjoy. I hope you had fun writing them. It is time to announce the winners: one of them chosen by YOU and one of them, well... five of them, by ME. The prizes and writers' fees are all possible thanks to the popularity of CoinSides (excuse me while I pat myself on the back) and the generous support from our backers. Thank you for being part of this project.

Judging the submission is a fuzzy process that involves three criteria and a good dose of intuition. I am no RPG veteran or avid reader, and my opinion is completely subjective. Do not let my decision discourage you from iterating on your work and joining future jams. Other members of the community might find their favorite Spark in your entry. In the end, there will only be winners and those who didn't participate. Without further ado, here are my ranked entries with my ratings (COIN/STORY/WRITER) and their respective authors and pages. I've also added the top entries based on your votes ( https://itch.io/jam/coinsides-adventure-sparks-jam-2/results ).  Congratulations to all!

All Gold Winners will receive a CoinSides of their choice.
All Gold Winners will also receive an offer of $100 to include their submission in the CoinSides Adventure Sparks Library.

All Silver Winners will receive an offer of a CoinSides of their choice to include their submission in the CoinSides Adventure Sparks Library.

Shipping the CoinSides is at the organizer's expense (me).

Inclusion in the Library grants Charles Ward (EX FIRST GAMES) exclusive rights to the submissions, including the right to edit, reformat, illustrate, publish, and distribute them freely. Authors will always be credited and encouraged to keep their original submissions on their Itch Store. The offer is 100% optional and does not affect the ranking. You are all winners, and it would be an honor to have you join the growing selection of Sparks.

In closing

One of our goals is to have fun, meet fellow creators, learn from each other, and share in the success of the entire project. Thank you to everyone who commented on the submissions, especially Ian Reichert for commenting on every entry.

Moving forward, I want to bring the Sparks Library and the next Jam to the TTRPG community in a whole new way, and I want to defer the judging to a panel of judges. Stay tuned for the 3rd CoinSides Adventure Sparks Jam. You won't miss it!

Thanks again to the small team that launched the CoinSides Adventure Sparks in 2021: Koyomi Shigano, Tomas Gimenez RiojaNikola R. Petrov, and Bart Wynants. And thank you for entering, voting, sharing, and playing these games. I hope they spark your imagination and encourage you to join the next Jam.

Please follow the CoinSides saga as we Spark life into the new edition of this inspiring dice spinner: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ex1stgames/cyber-coinsides-10-dice-and-more...

I boot up Firefox and open the jam page, and with literally seconds to spare, I snagged a screenshot at 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Now what? I'm looking for the results of your ratings. Give me a minute.

Ok, the results have now been made visible.

Congratulations all.

Cool, thanks.

Sweet. What does LMNL stand for?
