Is there a way cartridges get claimed once the jam starts or is it a free-for-all and it’s ok if people end up doubling up by chance?

Music was "Azure Waters" from Playonloop.com

Controls took a minute to get used to, but after that I liked the movement. Art could be cleaned up but can tell there was a lot of heart put into it. Having things like a good looking menu and shop can really go a long way.

Great idea and beautiful art. Took a little strategy to beat but after that I wanted more. UX-wise I would add some sort of indicator that a hut is being built and how long until it's done and things like that.

Hilarious concept, I loved playing as trees, what a great idea. If the coconuts fell quicker and regenerated faster it would give the game a little more edge to keep the player interested, but if that was not what you were going for then this fits the bill for a nice casual game.

Big fan of the gameboy style art and it was executed well. Some music would have finished off the setting nicely. The gameplay was cute but after I returned the kids there was no indicator of if the game was over or if there was anything else to do.

I got a lot of "You can't put that object here" but I couldn't figure out why, maybe some sort of robust error system could help, it's difficult during a jam to have a game with a lot of rules so I may just be dumb. I liked the idea, good spin from many other games but fit to this jam.

Great concept. It was a bit steep to start, I would suggest having more fuel to start and less enemy planes around until the player gets going. I loved the idea and played through a few times. My favorite detail was the animation of the plane's rolling as you steered left and right.

A lot of attention to the art, I really enjoyed it. The shooting was smooth, unless an enemy was too close. I would like some sort of hit indicator or health bar on the enemy because at first I thought I was just missing a lot. Had a lot of fun!

I usually don't play jam games very long, but this one had me hooked. The difficulty was perfect in that I was challenged, but I felt like I could do better. The music and art had a great tone and meshed well together. The way the characters move had me laughing the whole time!

I would like more interaction with the environment, like the trees and stuff you had. Maybe collecting bottles to throw instead of unlimited?

Cute animation and movement, the rocket jump was a great surprise. Keep working on development so you can start creating a real game.

Shout out for using Godot. Everything felt a little quick for a platformer, but this is a good prototype to work with to further develop your game making skills. I liked the enemies style and movement.

The music was perfect and made the art style feel great too. Gameplay  was a little slow and I wish I could shoot in more directions, but I liked the feel of the game and it could be a great start to a bigger project.

I am a huge fan of the art style and simple music. I would suggest making the instructions more part of the game than in the menu so it is intuitive just by playing.

Working on another jam game right now and I will make sure to improve on the intro of this one!

thank you!

The TRex is a pretty popular open source sprite by Arks that I found here on itch.io, not surprised you May have seen it before!

Let me know if a version for MacOS becomes available and I will download it for sure

Some death animations and particle effects would really finish this off nicely as a simple mobile game

Beautiful. Thanks for the 'Put headphones on' at the start because the audio makes it even better

Wow, the mechanics were awesome, wish I had more time to play through the whole thing. 5 stars!

I love the way you used the theme! I thought the chicken was a point booster not an obstacle, but oh well. If you ever continue development I would suggest more control over how the crowd spreads itself to make it more interesting.

Fun game, good to put together for a game jam. Hope you keep on improving your games and making more!

No luck loading it to play on Firefox browser, but I like the feel of the art style!

The art was my favorite part, the beginning and menu made it feel really professional. The game play art itself could've been bigger and more clear to keep up that professional look.

Difficulty felt a little steep to get into at first, however I loved the art and the feel of the game so that kept me around to play more and more. I loved how there was a variety of moves even though I was only pressing two different buttons!

At first I thought 'this is kind of slow', then suddenly 'that's A LOT of apples', so it perfectly fit the theme. Had a lot of fun as the speed picked up

Loved it, cute concept and had fun. I think a 5-minute timer didn't have the right kind of urgency but it still did the trick!

Took me some time to figure out because I have a bad habit of skipping descriptions, but after that it was surprising difficult and fun for being so simple. I would suggest finding an added difficulty curve as your score gets higher to keep a player engaged.

Loved the art and idea behind the game, but I agree with your own evaluation of need more game play. Great start to a game!

Thanks! This was definitely something I wish I had fixed if I had the time. Looking back on it I have easy solutions now that I didn't come up with during crunch time.
