What makes games easier for you to play? In your own experience.

interesting. So what would make it easier for you to play games on m&k?

M4/5 is the mouse im guessing?

Is it only one arm that gives you issues?

From researching we found that controllers are preferable due to easier time of holding it rather keyboard and a mouse and for easier time with stabilizing the tremors.

Makes sense

We have experience with voice controls and that solution is very situational. Like you said a game will have to be a slow paced game, almost like a point and click adventure games. We know that voice control is not used for main buttons or actions in games, for example moving character or attacking due to delay in voice recognition and timing your words. Basically it's a terrible solution for precise input. However voice control works very well for actions that are trivial. For example opening inventory, navigating menu, interaction action etc. I think a game like point and click adventure style could work but you know, instead of pointing and clicking you use voice and words.

Pressing multiple buttons for unique action sounds cool! Maybe a temporary bonus or something. I am not sure about button mashing. Button mashing should be avoided in my opinion.

Ah i understand. Yeah that definitely can work but its a bit specific and might not work with common game mechanics well i feel like. Maybe it can be used for walking that way you don't have to hold the button just like a toggle. Although i think toggle gives better precision of player input.

Im not sure what you mean. You're talking about delayed input?

These are good tips! We also found out that toggle buttons are very useful for a continuous action like attacking. People have hard time pressing buttons fast or pressing buttons for long time. This also means that there needs to be a reason not to hold button forever. You can get creative here and punish player for holding button for too long.

Another thing we learned is that major tremors happen when the players get sensory overload, get suddenly excited, surprised or scared. Essentially losing control for brief moments. This means not to make a very intense game. Try to avoid visual or audio unexpected things during gameplay or do that in non threatening game scenario.

Tutorial is in description on game page. I agree with everything else. Thank you for playing!

You don't have to count it for the jam. It's just to have it there.

Better version of the game here

Love the style of the game and sound/music! Gameplay was fun and engaging until the AI broke and stood still while i was taking my stuff to go to heaven xd. The footsteps of your friend are too loud aswell. Pressing A on keyboard to check objectives doesn't work either. Still beat the game and got 1028 score!

Check out our game!

Great story and amazing art style! Only issue i had was reading the text at some parts of the game. Good job!

Just tested it from the download and it works fine. It might be something on your end.

Hello! We are looking for 3D character creator who can do modeling, rigging and animation, similar art style to Diablo 3 or The Witcher 3. We have 6 team members right now. Me as the lead director/designer and programmer, 1 programmer, 1 music/sound designer, 1 character concept artist and 2 environment artists. We are using Unreal Engine 4.

The main premise of the game is you try to get parts of a ring in each level to progress. There are total 20 levels to complete with each different challenges. You will experience many puzzles, killing many different enemy types and bosses, exploring for extra loot and avoiding unforgiving traps. You will gain loot for each level that is completed, that you can sell for money. With money you can buy upgrades for your character or buy books to learn a new skill. For extra challenge, try not to die to earn 2x the loot.

We have made a GDD and can be shared with you privately if you’re interested.

The game is a 3D top down action RPG that is planned to release on PC, Linux, Mac, PS4 and Switch.

Note that we currently don’t have any budget to pay for the work and we kindly ask you to collaborate and help us make a good demo of the game so we can start talking to publishers. If we strike a deal, everyone will be paid.

You can contact me via discord: kennykyle#5704 or email: diligentgamesus@gmail.com

If you need specifics, please ask! Thank You!

Thank you for playing! We have improved the hit registration and the damage values for the enemy. The game is a lot more fun now! We did not have enough time to add sound effects, but be sure we will add them in the near future! I will also add the glitch you talked about to the task list.

Thanks for the awesome comment! Our music artist appreciates your comment and sends you a happy face :D The attack from behind will be fixed very soon! Thank You for playing!

Heh that was the plan!

Added your issues to the task list! Thanks for playing!

Tutorial is lacking but i love the graphics!

Really nice! Reminds of the Dishonored 2 mechanic.

Pretty simple platformer and doesn't have much psychic powers.

I had with the no gravity objects :P
