Sorry I don't know another way on how to describe it. I like the new direction I even said as much in the good things part. Just the game itself lacks features, and choices that was present in the first game. Which was my major points, and that's why I used that word cuz if a sequel to something can't do the bare minimum of what the previous work did than is it really a good sequel? I'll leave by saying this wasn't meant to hurt your feelings, or discredit this wonderful game that I will be replaying again especially when new updates come out. I am very critical out of passion cuz after playing Malo, and Frenni's Fazclaires multiple times I know this ain't your limit, and that you have so much more potential.

Note: As I said before I'm aware you are actively developing this game, and perhaps a lot of things I brought up you already have plans on tweaking or adding to the game. Don't let my one opinion and experience with it pull you in the wrong direction. I love the games you make like a lot of others do. Just wanted to give you my own thoughts as someone who has played both back to back to not just play them as a continuing story, but to see if the game truly lives up to the title of A Fortnight At Frenni Fazclaires 2.

Regardless if you listen, or ignore my opinion and experience I'm sure the end product will still be a good one even if it's not what I personally want from a sequel to the series. Hope this finds you well, and I look forward to hearing from you again, and what new adventures you make.

Note: I realize this may never get seen buy the dev, but I want to make my experience known anyways. If you feel the same like and comment, and if not that's fine your entitled to your own fun :)

The Good

Defiantly tech wise this game looks, and overall feels better to play. Not that the first one was bad or anything, but looking at both the 2nd has a more official polish to it which I appreciated.

Characters and Dialogue grew on me over time be it to a lesser degree than the first they are all still very well written. Spicy sense are also much better as well as regular event sense are a welcome upgrade.

I love the tone shift the first where your constantly in danger, now this one your never in danger yet one wrong choice and you could be which is a nice twist of expectations. Also like the more laid back vibe which was a welcome edition.

The Bad

Throughout the entire game I kept having the same bored feeling as I read text for 10 to 20 minutes at a time in between making choices. Its true I'm a slow reader, but the first game had a tone more choice pop ups to break up all the text. which in turn depending on said choice would shape your entire experience.

Lack of player agency and choice is apparent in this version of the game. As it stands the first game had choices where you could be mean or nice which isn't present here, and was very frustrating when the character would just be mean or nice without the game giving me the option to choose.

The artwork of the characters be it very good looking they don't look like they should be in the same game, and a lot of characters either have way too much or not enough clothing in my opinion just made the experience look off to me. However by the end the art style did start to grow on me, but still looked weird whenever Marie and Frenni came over beside the new characters.

Bugs {IDK IF THEY ARE JUST POINTING THEM OUT!}

When using the blue program on Arura the tiger and then talking with her the sprite doesn't show up.

While walking through areas especially in the beginning where it describes different rooms and places, but still shows only one backdrop is really strange feeling like there should be more backgrounds in those places.

In one of the interactions with Roxy I believe [ ] these show up and it feels like the text in them along with the brackets could just be took out. I get it might be like that's what the player thinks, but it just confused me and took me out of the experience more than anything.

Improvements

Definitely more player choice in terms of how the main character acts to the characters like the first game let you do. Not only would this be fun but it would help keep players engaged so its not just big blocks of text for 20 minutes straight.

Letting you the player choose which order to do regular job tasks would be welcome. I was extremely disappointed  when it just cut to black and summarized what happened instead of letting me experience it.

Making the characters look more constant in art design with each other. Not saying they can't be over the top, or bare. What I'm saying is have a consistent style that you go with. Roxy, The Manager, and Arura are heavily clothed and over the top while Mia, and Chi are much more bare and reversed. As it is they don't look like they belong in the same building together. (NOTE: I realized you can't make everyone happy when it comes to art, but I wanted to give you my two cents in case others or even yourself feels the same way.)

When dealing with Roxy in the last few nights. I found it weird I couldn't have a choice between destroying her AI or using one of the Malo programs. I get you make the choice early on, but it feels weird its always a game over at that point and there is nothing you can do. Which I can think of two options.

1 Using either program. Since they are magical as well as technical it would make since that the AI wouldn't be able to fight it since its magic. Meaning you would be safe by that logic.

2 Asking one of the freed girls either Chi or Mia to help you destroy the AI by holding Roxy down if she becomes hostile. By that point in the game I freed Chi, and that's what popped into my head when I thought about my actual options I had, but the game didn't let me use.

DISCLAIMER

I really do understand this is a free game. That Fox makes these out of love and passion for there community in other words all of us. I understand content is subject to change. Like you reading this I love these games, and I'm being super critical about this game because there are expectations in it being a follow up to the first game, and in conclusion this is my honest feedback.

Its a great game, but a terrible sequel as it is.

Loved the first game so much I put it on my annual playlist of games. Meaning once a year I'm playing it, and I'm starting a new playthrough of it tonight. The first time through I was sad their wasn't more games in this universe, but now there is, and I'll play this sequel directly after my secondary playthrough of the first. Thank You so very much for creating this masterpiece of a series!

I have a suggestion that you may already have plans for, but can you make it to where depending on your choices in the main story leading up to the free roam. It will give a heart AKA LOVE to the character that you chose to stay with. I found it jarring when Oliva refuse to tease, and BJ when she literally did it in the main story XD

Overall great game, and can't wait for more hopefully very soon! :)

I just published this, and want people to see it. If you like it be sure to leave a comment or recommend it to a friend.

Hey I'm loving the project so far, but I wanted to ask you if your cool with me using the art of Lux and Aemi for my stream start and end screens? I ask cuz I love how these characters look, and the make for great set pieces for those screen backgrounds.

Hey I sent you the stuff on gmail. Please respond back at your earliest convenience.

Thank you! I will be in contact soon probably will be Friday or Saturday maybe sooner I don't know yet..

That's a shame, but I understand I looked through your collection, and you actually have the monsters I was looking for I'll be buying those packs later this week I thank you for replying and being honest.

Do you by chance do commissions? If so how would I go about doing that?

These are awesome! Defiantly gonna use these in my next project. Btw do you do commissions? If so how would I do that?

Your most welcome nothing but best wishes for the future of the game hope it continues to do well!

Very nice game I love the graphics only wish their was better music, and more creature sounds. Over all though not bad reminds me of Bloodborne PSX a lot in the graphics. I stopped playing because my damage was reduced to 1 once I was poisoned by the rat, and didn't want to slog through the fight. Other than that I actually enjoyed it, and wouldn't mind playing again someday.

Really liked playing this game, and most certainly will add it to my collections well done!

I love games like this, and this is one of the better ones I've played Managed to make it all the way to wave 9, but I personally would love a campaign mode added to this as well as a downloadable version if possible. Music and sounds great! Graphics love the AFK Arena look! I enjoyed it so much I added it to my collections and will play again most certainly! Theme on point, and gameplay simple and easy to understand! 5/5 star no drama! XD

Idk if it's just me, but the controls listed are not exactly all the controls you have to use. I found out the spacebar, and mouse can be used to select options, and died because I pressed spacebar and the game flipped the text so fast I clicked an option before I had a chance to read it then they attacked me. I gave it another go, and figured out mouse click is what I needed to use to actually read stuff.

Personally not my kind of game cuz I never have liked clue esc games, but I really did enjoy the music and graphics you guys did a fantastic job on that front. Gives kind of a Oblivion murder mystery vibe. I hope you don't take this criticism to heart because for a week of work this is pretty impressive of the quality of how the game looks, and I for one am not discrediting the clear passion that went into every piece of this. Well done!

Over all really needs polish, and needs a way to turn down in game sound and music, but not a bad concept at all, and could be extremely fun to play given more development time. Theme on point, and graphics not too shabby not bad at all for a week. good job!

Alright thank you! I'll be sure to look into it, and I'm very happy it worked out for you. I hope you enjoyed playing the game, and I can defiantly say more updates are coming to this game once the game jam itself has completed fully.

Alright I'm using windows 10 due to personal preference, and I have no issues with the screen going black although I hardly doubt that's the issue. Can you describe exactly what you did in the game? Perhaps you did something in a certain order that I didn't account for which is the only thing I can think of that would cause something like that.

Huh.... Have you tried restarting the game again with a new save? Also what version of windows are you using?

In future updates I'll definitely work in a way to explain the meters more in depth I can see how me barley explaining any of it can be a little irritating for some people. As for objective there really isn't one beside looking for other people. I do plan on adding more npcs and side quest stuff as well as elaborating more on certain in world things after the game jam finishes up. I appreciate the feed back helps to hear from a outside prospective.

Understandable I made the character slower because I thought the default movement was way too fast for how small the map is, but I can see some people not liking it even to me it took some getting used too. Also if you don't mind can you illiterate on the not knowing what your doing. Like what part exactly is making you feel that way?

Hope everyone enjoys this game. I had a ton of fun making it despite not adding everything I wanted I'm still happy with how it turned out for just a week of work. All comments are welcome good or bad give it to me straight so I may continue to improve the games I make rather it's by myself or with friends:)

so is the ogg the game or?

Oh dang that sucks majorly, so you don't have any way of requesting more it's only up to their discretion?

Hello I love the game, and wish to buy the physical; copy, but on the site y'all have it says it doesn't have enough of them to place a order. I am wondering do you know when it will be available again?

Hey I've tried them out, and I love them. However they are a tab too big and they get cut off screen. Anyway you can help me figure out the issues thank you,
