i didnt really like the movement, felt too floaty and not being able to move forward or backward when tired is a weird mecanic. the combat was a bit weird too, it felt like the enemies had too much range, apart from that i really like the levels, and the sounds, it would have been better if it had some background music tho
overall fun game :)
I really like how the game looks, although the bloom on the lights felt a bit too much, the sounds where not really good, the attack sound was really repetitive(and loud) and the sounds for attacking enemies or being hit felt really weak and confusing.
The combat feels a bit too weightless, like attacks didnt have much impact and it was difficult to know when you damaged an enemy, the main reason i was able to progress is by cheesing the roll button, but it didnt felt specially good, enemies attack too fast, you attack too slow and have low range.
Im not sure if i missed something but couldnt beat the game since i couldnt find any more potions
Apart from that, really good job for a jam game !
I LOVED THIS!!!! i hope u stick to this and make a post jam version, the minigames are really fun i specially liked the lil cat guy animations.
the only issue i had was picking the wrong enchanting ingredient and when droped it added it to the recipe even if it was far away from the cauldron :(
apart from that, amazing job!!
Thank you for the review! i messed up the options on the main menu but it works ingame haha.
about the theme the idea was you had to feed the creature to make it bigger everyday, so growing in scale, sadly we didnt manage to implement everything in time so it got somewhat cut, i really appreciate the feedback, thanks!!!
I really like the idea, althought i would have enjoyed it a bit more if the size change was used more in the puzzles, i would recommend making a menu to change mouse sensitivity it was really hard to play the game without it.
i got almost to the end of the game but then picked up an item in the wrong way and my whole screen got covered :(
I really liked the graphics and the vibe, good job!
i loved the graphics! the concept was very interesting, a little bit bugged, sometimes i couldnt sell anything even if i didnt touch the slider. if u ever consider making a post jam version it could be interesting having the posibility to modify the store to generate distractions for the buyers, regardles, nice job!
hey, sorry for the very late response, we have a bunch of people on the team already. But if you go to the jam discord https://discord.gg/NVmTEynCvZ you can find a lot of other people looking for a team. Good luck!
Hi ! Im looking to join or make a group for this new jam, i have made 4 games in godot so far (including one for the previous LSDJAM). I can also work with blender a little bit, but im not very good at it (as you can see from my previous lsdjam lol). I mainly speak spanish but i can have a conversation in english if needed (with really heavy accent tho hahaha)
So, for anyone interested send me a DM on discord to cranile .Im also on the lsdjam discord server if you want to chat there :D
I like the ending. the default mouse sensitivity was wrong for me, maybe you can add an option to change it, the bars on the helmet where a little bit annoying but not a really big deal, and you should put the siren as the thumbnail for the game, i would assume that will get more people to click on the game. good job!
Yes there is more to the story, currently no replay value tho. it was my first 3d game and i decided to make all of the 3d assets myself so i spent the entire first week making the scene instead of the game, it was supposed to be a stealth game with 3 extra maps, but i had to scrap most of it due to time :(.
I agree with the sound 100% i only added footsteps the last day since the game didn't felt right with no sound.
I will add a bunch of things on the post jam version and make an extra game for the stealth part, so maybe stay tuned ;)
Thanks for the feedback!!!
Okay i love this and really need a post-jam version lol.
The weapon designs where amazing, i only wish they had sound too.
I would advise changing the color of the enemies or the background, it can be kind of difficult to see the enemies.
When you kill an enemy and it explodes, the little bits and pieces have collision and you can get stuck! maybe make them be areas instead of collision bodies.
offtopic: I'm glad there is more people that got into gamedev because of mizizizi :)
