I'd like to let everybody know that all these “Game has been updated” comments are fake (and always will be, no matter the game). To see if there is a big update, check the devlog or linked socials.

Or, y'know, check to see if the account making the comment is the dev and not some bot.

Just some way to show that you are still alive is cool. After all, all connected sites say 2024-23 was the last post to them.

You have aaronsee.media in your itch bio but it hasn't seen an update in forever (you should fix it up btw. Take a look at Cheshire's Easy HTML/CSS Tutorial if you need to) so you could use that. Plus it does have a RSS link, but I haven't tested if it works. (I'll do that later)

I love this and the original, but all signs point to "Last updated 1 (or 2) years ago"

You need the Linux environment active, which means you have to be in developer mode, which itself requires a powerwash to activate. Then, you open the zip into Linux Files, open the console, do cd gamefolder and ./gamefile . any files/folders with a space needs the command to be cd "game folder' and ./"gamefile"

running a .exe will require setting up Wine or just using Windows

run the game with terminal! (cd path/to/folder and ./game.exe)

also, you don't provide a discord link anywhere :p

since I'm not having many game-breaking bugs, I could give you some recommendations on how to make it better.

(I made this before you said about the graphics driver. can't update it anyways cause, y'know, chrome. imma see if I can run it on my old win laptop tommorow)
I don't really need to be able to run stuff on this thing, I'm mostly just messing around and seeing what it can do. After all, simply watching videos on Firefox makes this idle at ~60% CPU and 50℃, as well as glitchy windows and stutters (more below)

Hopefully windows restore will be able to get my PC back online once the replacement SSD comes, then I'll be glad to help you with error reporting 'cause this seems like a cool game.

I ran Polytrack on both firefox and chrome, side-by-side, and FF was running horribly while chrome was smooth

Wasn't able to get into the game (chromebook with no gpu trying to run linux which is not optimized for cpu) but I did catch some errors in the terminal for ya before it crashed!

I'll try again later once I get the replacement SSD for my PC (a windows update was put out that killed all SSDs of its type, yay...)

If still no, try to download using the official site's download page, archive.ariral.space. There is also an updater now.

Do you mean: When I go to launch the game it takes me to my files and shows itch.io and PA82, anyone know how to fix this, it just takes me to my files, the files are not in the zip?

if so, can you link a pic/video? What I guess is happening is you are clicking on the folder. Within that folder is votv.exe, which you want to open (double click) to play VotV.

the file you are clicking also might be a .7z, which you need 7ZIP to open. (you might not, sometimes Windows can open .7z)

It would be even worse if it used your mic too. Imagine: You go to clean your window and, far away, *humming mixed with ATV*. You see yourself drive by, hit a rock, "nonono- *collisions and angry ATV* aw dang it". You go to check, panicked, and there was nothing. 

Not even the rock was moved.

add a custom resolution to the resolutions.txt (explained in the help menu)

You can use Task View to switch to a new window, where then you can open TM

VotV freeze, press Windows key, open task view, create new window, switch, open TM, close VotV.

The "default" button? Huh?

If it is a problem where the entire game says that (a popup or entire game window is covered, like the omega warning on start), check your screen resolution/regenerate data.sav in settings.

If it is a problem where in-game objects say that (monitors, ect), then I'm lost.

Same for me, as I have a square monitor, making no space to move the window.

exploded some rocks with some bombs, went through the opening, and just walked of the screen. I went back, tried going in from a different spot and same thing. I gave up and closed the game. any idea if it's just a bug on my end?
