I'm looking for a creative person who can delve into detailed lore and come up with cool plot twists. I can handle the technical part myself, but I would like to find an interesting and resourceful person who could help me work on the scenario.
The base lore and devlog are in this thread: https://itch.io/t/6585575/hair-for-sale-eastern-european-2d-quest-game

If you love creativity and coming up with all sorts of plot twists, then be sure to text me.

For some reason the WASD controls aren't working for me, I've refreshed the page several times

Friedrich Baptov is a local porn mogul and pyramid schemer. He's a complete bastard and a cynical scumbag (like all the characters in this game). He owns a chain of "Baptov's Perversions" parlors and is depicted on banknotes.

If you'd like, you can contribute to the creation of music tracks for my game, which will ultimately be included in the release. I personally created tracks in Suno, and I recommend you do the same.

Music requirements:

- You must send the full lyrics of your track (so I can check the lyrics to ensure they don't contain any hidden offensive connotations).
- The music must have a 2000s vibe (the year in the game is 2001).
- It's preferable for the music to be in a fictional language.

I would be glad if someone sends their examples!

Rap track

My game is a dark 2D quest (devlog: https://itch.io/t/6585575/hair-for-sale-eastern-european-2d-quest-game )

I decided to add an in-game radio for variety. I'm trying to create a 2000s atmosphere.

"The game will feature a radio and cassette tapes, which can be purchased at the market. This is simply for variety and optional background music. There will be two main radio stations. I generated the tracks for these stations, and all the lyrics are sung in a fictitious language. Between each track is a musical jingle, "Radio Uno."

I generated some songs in a non-existent language in the style of the 2000s.
What do you think?

I generated the tracks for these stations, and all the lyrics are sung in a fictitious language. Between each track is a musical jingle, "Radio Uno." I suggest you rate the radio mechanics and listen to some of the tracks:

Floor structure:

1. The topmost floor "Truck."
There's a truck here where we'll need to manually transport bags of hair. When the truck is full, we press a button and it leaves to deliver the hair (approximately 1.5 minutes away). Upon returning, the truck delivers the money.
The truck consumes fuel.

2. "Old Man's Office" floor
This is where the main gameplay takes place. Here we'll call different numbers, here we'll collect our finished hair bags on a special shelf, and here we'll see all the inventory we've purchased (food, gasoline, capsule nutrients, etc.). There'll also be a radio here that you can turn on and listen to (as background music).

3. Basement with capsules
The lowest floor. Here are the capsules containing people, and working dwarf slaves. They service the capsules and bag the hair. The dwarves need to be fed (from our level, we can lower a bucket of food mass on a rope; the dwarves will run over and eat from it).

This is a rough plan of the level where the player will sit.

I'm making a 2D quest based on the urban legend of hair traders. The goal is to sell your wares without attracting the attention of neighbors or the police. The mechanics revolve around the phone.

The player is an old man.
Somewhere in a basement in an unknown Eastern European country sits an old man. We have phone, city map (the first two digits of the phone number will determine the area we are calling), and bags of hair. We must call strangers in different neighborhoods, offering to sell hairs.
Hairs comes from capsules filled with nutrient solution, where people in induced comas are kept. This cunning, dark old man kidnaps people to grow their hair for sale.

Trading system:
Selling hair earns you currency. You use this currency to buy nutrition for the capsules (to keep the hair growing), gasoline for the truck that delivers the bags of hair to the end customer, and food for the dwarf slaves (the dwarf slaves work on the conveyor belt and load the hair into the bags).
There's also a "suspicion" meter. If the conversation ends badly, your suspicion increases. The bad ending is when Grandpa's warehouse is raided by the police.

Here are a few concepts that I have already made, the rest will be uploaded in the following messages.

bump #2

Bump, guys.

We're pleased to announce that active work is underway on in-game maps for our Cold War RTS:

What can I honestly say about the game:

Among the project's downsides:

- The technical part feels rather crude. I'm referring to the player controls. Movement is very slow, and it feels less like a "game feature" and more like a flaw. It's like you're walking through a swamp.
- There are no tracer shots from the weapons. The shots are not synchronized with the sounds. There's no way to tell whether I've hit the enemy or not. The weapon in the center of the screen looks strange and unusual.
- Zombie Nazis are a rather old and well-worn theme. It's unclear who the player is, what they're fighting for, how they ended up in this location, etc.

If you fixed all these flaws, this would probably be the basis for an interesting and playable project with potential for development.

Among the pros:

- I liked the atmosphere and the soundtrack
- I liked the devastation all around
- I liked the enemy death animations

Hi, I checked your profile, but you have several projects there. I couldn't figure out which game these images are from.
It would be nice if you could provide a brief description of your game or a link to the project.

In general, I can say:
The characters are interesting, although the boy looks a bit old. Maybe that's the author's intention, idk.
Personally, I would emphasize some of the character's unique features when drawing them, so they would better reflect their personality (for example: smart - a big head, cunning - a rat-like face, etc.). Right now, all the characters seem to be made from the same template.

In any case, you don't use AI, you draw everything by hand, so respect to you and good luck with the project.

What I liked:

- The gunshots look good, and the sounds don't get boring.

- I also liked how the zombie enemies' body parts get destroyed, but they continue to attack. It's interesting.

What needs improvement:

- The models look like inflated party balloons. I recommend downloading free zombie models from Sketchfab and using them in your game. Many creators give away their 3D models for free and CC0, and you can use them even when selling your game.

- The ESC key doesn't work, so it's impossible to exit the game.

- The player note in Arabic is incomprehensible to an international audience.

Hi guys. This is my first relatively large-scale project. I would appreciate some test feedback on the technical aspects.

Link to my game: https://breve-studio.itch.io/blok

I'm concerned about the following:

1) Possible lag and UI issues for other users
2) Intuitiveness of player actions
3) Overall playability of the project

I would be grateful if you could take 5 minutes to playtest my project. Thank you!

You're welcome, good luck with the development guys.

I've completed the entire game's storyline. What can I say:

Technically, everything is well-executed and fairly intuitive, even for someone who doesn't play horror games. The only time I didn't understand what to do was when you're first given control after the first cutscenes and the camera is pointed at the pool. Personally, I'd have given some kind of text prompt at that point, like "do something" or something like that.
Everything else works reliably.

BLOK is an RTS where you fight for a chain of trenches along the front line.

1983, The border between East and West Germany. USSR vs USA

Before you can call in tanks, artillery or air support, you need to physically deploy a radio node on the field. The enemy will try to knock it out. Both sides can jam each other's vehicle control with EW units.

Each side has an AI commander who reacts to what's happening on the battlefield, in English for NATO, in Russian for the Soviets. You can talk to them mid-fight!

Gameplay:

I am currently working on a map of Bulgaria:

Hi, lads.
I'm making a game about the Cold War. Combined arms combat centered on radio.
Blue vs Red team.

Capture strongpoints and trenches, radio communications for calling in vehicles, and radio jamming.

You can chat with both sides of battle, with your side as a commander, and with the enemy on their frequency:

Currently, I'm working on battles in East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, and so on.

You can play for free and support project if u want!
