Hi! It is a Unity asset so one does need Unity to run this tool :)

Hi, I’m aware of the lagging and I’m trying to solve this issue in a good way. Either instantiating gameobjects or setting tiles on a tile map are the ones causing the issues for me and I’m trying to do a workaround. Regarding the amount of gameobjects as of now you can have multiple tilemaps, one for each type of gameobject. I think that’s the way it’s done in the 3D demo.

We are still evaluating this possibility, although either way one has to use Unity to use this package. Out of curiosity, which file format would be of interest for you?

This is a Unity asset. One imports this asset into the Unity Engine and then tweak all the settings accordingly. For the moment one can’t export the files to use it anywhere else.

Thanks! And I’m sorry about the images. Now it’s fixed. It was a rookie mistake hahaha

Hi everyone! First of all thank you so much for the suggestions and ideas to improve Prata. As mentioned above, this was a really great constructive and positive feedback! It really helped a lot with your ideas!

It took me some time but I’m happy to say that there’s a new version of Prata that hopefully will solve and help this problem. From the changelogs:

v1.3.0 Add Text Based Demo scene Add support for TextMeshPro Add support for New Input System

Please try it out and feel free to send me any further questions/suggestions! Again, thank you so much for being awesome and coming with a great suggestion.

Really good options! We’ll take a look at them and hopefully have a solution as soon as possible.

Hi and thanks for using Prata. I completely agree with you and we will try and see what we can do to add more sample scenes. One thing we are trying to avoid is adding other dependencies to our assets (such as the new input system, cinemachine, etc) so we don’t force the user to have them on their projects. We will take a look on how to do that properly. As I said, we will do our best to take this in consideration for the future releases since it’s a great idea :)

Hi, I don’t understand what you mean. If you had purchased it you are going to be able to download both, the .unitypackage and the .zip file containing everything. If you have more problems please write us to support@berserkpixel.studio

Hi Jynxed. We have just uploaded a new version of Prata. Hopefully this solves the issue! Please let us know how it went

Hi, I tried this and works like a charm! I do have a problems though. When trying to export a WebGL and upload to Itch.io to test it either:

  • just shows me either a blank screen or
  • I can’t see an object that tracks the mouse position using object.position = Camera.main.ScreenToWorldPoint(Input.mousePosition);

In the video I show what I say on the second point. The Game View has a Free Aspect and when I move the mouse the transform has some kind of offset. When I try a custom 64x64 view on the Game View it works but then when exporting it it doesn’t.

Hi Jynxed, can you tell me more about the error? how does it fail? Also for further investigation please contact us at support@berserkpixel.studio

Hi, I don’t know why they didn’t make it. Unfortunately I didn’t receive any info about it :(. I would’ve loved to be part of it

I just changed my username xD… so here it goes:

nice initiative! Here is mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1178074

EDIT: I thought this was a web game! I just saw that it’s a Windows download. Unfortunately I can’t play Windows games… so I understand if you don’t want to rate mine :)

Hi! thanks! I’ve been trying to play and rate a bunch of games but I don’t think many people think like this so this is extremely helpful!

My game can be found here: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1178074

EDIT: I just saw yours is a Windows build. Unfortunately I can’t run Windows (only web). So I understand if you won’t rate mine :P

really fun game! as other, I also broke the game by pressing shield when I was dying so it made me superman. After that it was easy hahaha. But I loved the art and the gameplay!

great game! it felt super polished! loved the gameplay. Also the checkpoints and even a boss battle!

nice game. I would wish there was a way of getting mana faster or some powerups but the art and gameplay was great!

Fun game! Chaos everywhere. I did got stuck somewhere and couldn’t get out hahaha. But overall super fun game and nice art

I couldn’t play so much. First time I went to the right to never come back. Next I had to refresh the browser every time I lost :( But music, mechanics and art are super nice

fun game! at first my thoughts were “oh.. another platformer” but then I went to “omg! jump! jump! nooooooo!”. Super fun game!

hahaha nice concept! The controls were a little hard to grasp (specially when going the other way!) and the music stop sounding at some point (maybe I’m too slow!) but fun game to play!

Fun game to play! loved the concept and the art

Overall super fun game. Sometimes it went laggy and zombies appear on random places. Also when shooting I would shoot myself if aiming to the left. Love the art and mechanics overall

fun game to play! when jumping the enemies it’s somehow tricky to know if you are going to touch them and loose or not. It would be nice a way if knowing that or defeat the enemy to be sure. Overall super nice game

loved this game! super fun to play! Loved the idea

Good game but sometimes it was difficult to know where to go. Love the graphics

love the art style!

Love this game! loved the arts and mechanics

one of the most polished games out there! loved the mechanics

fun to play :)

fun game to play! some parts of the puzzle are not super obvious (like needing to drop the painting) soo some indicators (like wiggling for example) would be appreciated. But overall super good game!

fun game to play!

Awesome game! one of the most polished games here! super much potential. Well done!
